We were 3 families, with a total of 6 adults and 4 small children and we stayed for 10 days over the christmas period. It was the most wonderful way to spend christmas. The house and grounds are astonishing. It was like living in a museum, but a personal one that is also a palatial home. There are so many wonderful oddities to the building, such as the ancient weapons, the original telephone from 100 years ago, and the private chapel. Everywhere you look is something ancient and fascinating. The place is absolutely huge. We, and especially the children, loved discovering new nooks and crannies. Being such an old place, it doesn't have all modern amenities, like central heating, but the fireplaces, and gas heaters were enough to keep us warm. The hosts, who live in the house, were always friendly, on hand for any help needed, and were a source of information about the house and the area. We became real friends by the end. They also provided an excellent chef, as well as cleaners.

Three families stayed at Lorenco and Rita's home for a reunion and had a very successful stay. The old house is steeped in history which you can feel walking through the home. It is really magical. Our kids loved the home, best house ever for hide and seek and the gorgeous Mateo joined in the fun. the gardens are spectacular and we received a beautiful basket of vegetables from the garden on our second day. Lorenco helpfully provided really great restaurant and beach recommendations which were nearby and superb. Rita took the kids to feed the horses which they loved. Overall our stay was beautiful, I would highly recommend this home and the hosts, they were wonderful.

A fabulous property and fantastic hosts Lourenco and Rita. There was plenty of space for our family of 12, the swimming pool was lovely and the village location perefect. I would definitely recommend the property for lovers of history and nature. Thank you Lourenço and Rita for your kindness and letting us stay in your amazing property. We'll never see anything like it again.

Rita and Lourenco made the week of our wedding, that we wanted to share with close family so lovely, we will certainly never forget. On our wedding day they prepared an elaborate feast of local specialties for us, that we have to admit just very few restaurants can compete with. In addition the house has so much history and they are the best at sharing it. Their kindness and hospitality made this stay truly memorable for all of us. We wish you both all the best and hope to meet again some day ... Pia & Ruben

El pazo es muy grande con numerosas habitaciones, salones y baños y con una buena localización para visitar toda la zona del norte de Portugal . La casa necesita una limpieza a fondo y una renovación total tanto del menaje y utensilios de cocina asi como de muebles básicos como camas y colchones y armarios, para un alquiler de este nivel y finalmente una mejora básica en la iluminación interior. Una vez hecha esa inversión en limpieza y renovación de muebles y menaje puede ser una casa óptima para su alquiler como tal .
