Place is beautiful, and very clean. Instructions were clear, with lots of additional information to make the stay fun and easy. Checkin was very simple, instructions were very clear on how to operate the various systems in the home (AC, etc.). Checkout instructions were very clear as well. The host’s communications were crisp, and responsive. Our only challenge was that it wasn’t made clear that the owners lived on the property in a separate house right next to the BnB. We saw them several times, outside grilling et al, which was awkward, and detracted from the sense of privacy. Overall, we would recommend, as long as you’re comfortable with owners being so close—probably fine for most folks, but we seek BnB’s with more privacy for ourselves, generally.

We loved our stay here! The house is super comfortable--even nice than the photos. The real standout is the pool. It's beautiful and incredibly relaxing. We really enjoyed our weekend here--the house is well-stocked and welcoming, the grill works great, and the pool is lovely. Even though it was hot while we were there, the bedroom ACs & fans cooled the house down at night. The location is great--close to tons of nearby short hikes and river access points. Some friends even drove to the Yuba for the day (about 45 mins), but you can get to some stunning parts of the American River in about 15 minutes. Nearby markets as well! Anna Maria is a wonderful host as well. She communicated lots of useful information with me leading up to our stay and was available throughout, even fixing a hot-water issue immediately while we were there. Such a lovely and kind host :). Her home is adjacent to the property but it still felt like we had a private stay. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed as part of a wedding party. Being a family of 6, the pool was great for the kids, a good size and clean. The accommodations were spacious and I appreciate the upgrades the host has made to an older property. There was also a basket of water and snacks which the kids loved. You can tell the hosts care about their business. The place itself is great. The main detractor is needing to sign a separate rental agreement where no other outside guests are permitted on the property which was inconvenient for wedding attendees.

Anna Maria’s home is a relaxing retreat. I stayed here with four colleagues during a work trip and we loved the open kitchen for cooking and the back patio furniture to enjoy our meals outdoors. Of course we also loved the pool! It is so serene, surrounded by trees. We look forward to returning next year!
