Our stay was absolutely magnificent, not just because of the breathtaking view but because of our host. Our host offered us a great amount of information (even showed us on a map!) and made wonderful recommendations. Her place was absolutely beautiful, quiet and extremely clean. She made us feel right at home. Any questions we had she immediately answered. She also gave us homemade liquor and olive oil her father made. It really brought the experience together and made cooking even more special (also it’s a nice big kitchen, so you won’t be tripping over your partner cooking!) The Cretan corner was our absolute favourite restaurant. She recommended it to us and I’m not kidding we went there almost everyday. I swear everyone needs to go there, Atleast just once. What a beautiful experience and a beautiful family. She is a very knowledgeable lady and a magnificent host. You won’t regret booking with her, the only thing you’ll regret is not booking with her sooner!

Chrysi's place was lovely, and just as described! The location was beautiful, the apartment was very clean Chrysi is the sweetest and most welcoming host. Location is great for exploring Chania and nearby attractions. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Polymnia Althea Maisonette and would not hesitate to recommend the property, location and host, Chrysi, to family & friends. The maisonette was beautifully furnished and sparklingly clean; Chrysi provided all the essentials, as well as a beautiful welcome gift with local & family produce and a thoughtful leaving gift! The location is convenient to explore the Chania region and Souda Bay Area of Western Crete. Aptera is a lovely village with an interesting ancient site and nice tavernas, the more built up area of Kalyves, with beaches, shops and eating options, is a very short drive away. We would definitely recommend hiring a car if you want to get around the local area, we had a great experience with Kalyves Travel who dropped off our hire car at the maisonette a few hours after booking. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. One memory that will stay with us is the absolutely stunning view from the terrace, over Souda Bay, framed by Chrysi’s beautiful garden.
