Beautiful place to stay

It was a nice place to stay. Kate stated that the people on Martha’s Vineyard don’t usually lock their doors so she doesn’t give a key unless we wanted it but the back door didn’t lock anyways so there was no point Which kept me up at night worrying. I felt a little uneasy. It was a nice distance away from everything. It was a nice quiet get away but i felt under pressure with the strict rules about the lights at night & all of the recycling. I think it was taken a little too far. There were a lot of bugs in the cottage. The bed was very hard but it was a decent get away for the price.

This lovely cottage is a gem, and Kate couldn't be a more hospitable host. Located right in the heart of West Tisbury, you'll have easy walking access (2-3 min walk) from the property to the great café 7a; the general store; and whatever markets are on at the Grange Hall. At the same time, you'll feel like you're in your own personal nature preserve (the roving turkey family was fun to watch). Because of the cottage's central placement, driving just about anywhere on the island (Edgartown, Aquinnah, Oak Bluffs, etc.) will take only about 15-20 minutes. The space itself is cozy, sparkling clean, and welcoming; once you've experienced the outdoor shower, it'll be very difficult to return to an indoor version. Conveniently, there's a clothing line in the backyard for wet beach gear. Before and throughout our stay, Kate was helpful and kind as well as generously flexible on our check-in and check-out times. My partner and I are hoping to return to Kate's cottage as soon as we can!
