Gabriel's bungalow set the tone for a fabulous stay in South Africa. It was our daughter's wedding and staying at Clifton Bungalow gave us the opportunity to relax before the big day in Franschhoek. Couldn't have asked for a better situation so near to the beach and to see the beautiful sunsets. Gabriel and his team were so helpful and made sure we were really well looked after. Definitely a venue to be recommended.

What a great place! The sweetest housekeeping. Most beautiful view ever. Gabriel is a great guy. Thx voor de good wine. And what a lovely bath. We enjoyed it so much!

The place is in a great location on Clifton 4 beach. The house has plenty of open spaces to entertain or simply enjoy the privacy of the place. Additional 3 decent sized bedrooms downstairs (tricky staircase btw) and a hot tub. Gabriel was a great host who met us on arrival and quick to communicate when required. Down sides, the amenities are a little dated, especially given that this is a premium priced property. Quality vs Cost don't match. So its overpriced. While Gabriel met us to show us the ropes, there is no Guide to refer to when unsure how things work. No dedicated parking which could be a challenge during high-season. 100 steps down off the main road to get to the house, which would be a problem for anyone physically challenged or with lots of luggage. Gabriel was very kind to arrange his security company to meet and assist us with luggage. In summary, lovely place/host but overpriced and in need of amenity updates.
