I am in 2 minds about my stay. The location of the condo and staff at the building were excellent. Unfortunately, the unit manager has very poor communication especially in regards to when cleaners will arrive, causing me to change my plans on multiple occasions. It appears that maintenance at the condo is lacking as both the fridge and A/C broke down during my stay and took a considerable amount of time to be repaired (weeks). The inoperable fridge caused me to throw out over $100 worth of food on 2 occasions. There is a problem with bed bugs at the condo and when I advised the manager she insinuated that I was an unclean person which I found very offensive. The cleaners told me that they had advised the manager that the mattress required cleaning months earlier, but the manager refused to authorise the cleaning. The condo is in a great location and very central to everything.

Joel is a wonderful host, provided water, beer, abundant tissue paper and towels. Efficient responses to help us out on the WI-FI Connections. Only issue is the shower water running too small, making it difficult to wash my long hair, but it’s nothing to do with Joel, I guess it’s the building structure and age. Anyway, a good stay and would like to thank Joel so much again !!!!

Joel’s place has everything I require for in a room and more at an affordable price. - Internet was consistently at over 50Mbps - Balcony was spacious - Washer & dryer came in handy - TV was top of the line unlike the pic posted on the listing (Samsung 55” UHD) - Bldg staff were very helpful, courteous, and honest (dropped my wallet at the lobby and they sent it back to my room) - Location was perfect. Has ATMs across the bldg and convenience stores within the block - Room was spacious, there was more than enough room to move around - Checking in & out were super simple - Power sockets everywhere. Kitchen, balcony, bedroom, dining area, living room, even the bathroom - Thoughtful touches like free water bottles, beers, and ice cream I can’t complain about anything. It was just awesome overall. Really hoping it’s available again when I need to travel to this area. This is now my AirBnB gold standard: price, location, amenities and all that.

Joel's place is a very spacious 1 bedroom end unit...really big by Makati standards, and lots of natural light pouring into the unit. The other nice feature is a large fully equipped kitchen and rock solid wifi. There are also plenty of nice fluffy towels but they are kind of hidden away in the middle drawer of the wardrobe or closet. Two air conditioners work to keep the big unit cool. No toiletries were provided. So bring your own soap, etc. There are three mini markets nearby though. They also left 2 bottles of water and 3 cans of beer which was nice. I think that might be the right ratio for most travelers, but not me lol. Would have preferred 5 bottles of water. But a friend drank the beers. Location is super convenient. Very responsive host. Would definitely stay again.
