I can’t say enough good things about this little log cabin. The attention to detail, from perfectly placed hooks to the well stocked kitchen, made for an incredible stay. The space was spotless when I arrived, and Shawn left excellent instructions on how to use the wood stove. The property is beautiful and secluded without being too off the beaten path. My only regret is that I didn’t book a longer stay. Thanks again, Shawn!

I’ve never felt more at home even on my own house. This cabin instantly put my mind at ease. It would be a mistake to not choose this cabin. I will definitely be coming back solely to stay at this cabin. This was the best part of my trip.

I am a degreed professional with a variety of passions and interests. In addition to an engineering career, I have worked in the natural foods industry (various roles over several years at a food co-op), nutritional counseling, and residential construction and interior design. For the past several years, I have been dedicated to the design/build of Green Gate Guest Houses- 10 unique lodging options within the Giants Ridge Recreation Area. I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going! I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Looking forward to some time in Scandinavia next. Having operated my vacation rental properties for about a decade now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests from all over the planet, and have enjoyed being part of the Airbnb community in my hosting and travels.
