Lovely stay at the house. Has a lot of character and history. Perfect location for walking into town while still being very private. It is an old house with its little quirks, which add to charm. very interesting collection of books which seem to span a few generations of owners. I’m sure the hosts will continue to modernize certain aspects over time (it seems they already have started this in the kitchen and a few other places throughout the house.) Backyard was awesome. Overall the stay was lovely and location could not be beat.

Alexandra and Allan’s cottage was the perfect location for my family. Everything in Edgartown is walkable from the front door. The peaceful Sheriff’s Meadow Sanctuary is less than a minute up the road. They were also quick to recommend a local auto repair shop when our car battery died. Lovely house, plenty of room for my family of 5 and comfortable with the mini splits as an option to cool down the house.

Truly the most beautiful and welcoming antique Vineyard home. She’s full of love and life! We had an amazing stay and loved the private, yet right in town location, the peaceful back yard, the cozy rooms, and all around serene nostalgia. No shelf is without books, no wall without art. We felt cared for and at home here!!

Location location location! A lot of fabulous artwork as well. Quintessential architecture and design which I totally appreciated- but I will say the rooms are a bit tight given the time period this home was built in. Kitchen fully stocked. This place had the charm and character we were looking for. SO close to downtown Edgartown- super easy walk. A historical gem that set the backdrop for a perfect Vineyard getaway. Thank you for having us

This house is a gem in terms of absolutely beautiful romantic and artful decoration and the best location - walking distance from everything in Edgartown but completely quiet and tucked away next to a little pond with a beautiful trail around it. The outdoor shower is the best, showering amidst beautiful bushes and trees, so zen! The living room is cozy for a rainy day. The dining area is fresh and beautiful. Alexandra and Allan were friendly and responsive hosts. Mind you, if you’re looking for polished luxury, this is not your place. The bathrooms are dated and all furniture old/antique. All upstairs 3 bedrooms open up into each other, so good for kids, but not necessarily with friends. The upstairs bathroom only has a bath without a shower head. The small bedroom downstairs is very cute and has it’s own bathroom with shower.
