We’re lucky to live every day beside the sea, and we take pride in sharing what our beautiful coastline and countryside has to offer our guests. Whether your ideal break is action-packed or reserved for long, leisurely walks on the beach or in the countryside, we’ll help you create a trip you’ll remember. We know all of the best places to enjoy the sea, culture, history and food that make this postcard-perfect pocket of the East Sussex and Kent coast the ideal destination for your well-deserved break! Our Homes Every property we offer is exclusive to Beside The Sea Holidays and meets our demanding standards. We know each cottage inside out, and can assure you that if we have put our name on it, you’ll love staying there. Each home has its own personality, ranging from beach chic and contemporary to warm and cosy. Our Story Beside The Sea was set up in 2009 by us, Richard and Sophie. Originally from Essex, we fell in love with Camber, Rye and the beautiful unspoilt sandy beach over 10 years ago and bought a holiday cottage. It didn’t take us long to realise that we wanted to offer a much more personal service to holiday cottage owners and their guests than we had experienced from other agencies. We started small but Beside The Sea soon grew from a part-time job into a proper family business. While Sophie looks after the accounts side of things and Richard handles the web/techie stuff, we work together on all aspects of the business. This also includes Arthur (our 7 year old) and Dougal (our dog) – as a family, we love meeting guests who come and stay from all over the world. Our mission is to offer a truly personal service to make your stay at one of our Camber Sands holiday cottages as relaxing as we possibly can.
