What a perfect location for a couple of country folks. The house is located close to the airport and good restaurants along MaCarthur Dr., at the same time it is hidden along a quiet country road. The hosts were mindful answering a few questions and they checked in a couple times to make sure we were comfortable. The house was extremely clean, neat and well supplied. We considered a hotel but for just a few dollars more you can have a whole house instead of a large room. Also, I am not a cake eater, but the cake they supplied was delicious! When we visit friends in Alexandria, we will center our travel around the availability of Compass Point.

WOW!! The Compass Point Cottage is absolutely AMAZING! I have stayed at many AIRBNB's and Larry & Michelle's place was by far the best place we have ever stayed at. They are the most incredible hosts. The house was beautifully decorated and feeling of home hits you immediately. Then there is the homemade pound cake they made for us that was waiting for us when we arrived. Truly the most comfortable and welcoming home away from home. I highly recommend their place to anyone who is looking for a place in the Alexandria area. The location is perfect. Country setting but just minutes from the main highway in Alexandria with many restaurants and shopping places.

Compass Point Cottage provided a comfortable place to stay while visiting the area. The home was in a quiet and peaceful location away from the busyness of the city. Recommendations were given for local restaurants and activities which were so helpful and appreciated. Larry was quick to respond to our messages, and he checked in to make sure all was going well and we had everything we needed. We definitely recommend Compass Point Cottage!

This was the second time staying here. We scheduled a job in the area based on the availability of this home. That’s how great this place and hosts are.

I don’t usually write reviews. But, they really make you feel welcome. From check in to check out. I felt like I was staying with a relative. Their home is clean and comfortable. Everything was as described. Better than the photos. If I have to go back to Alexandria again, I will schedule it around their availability.
