Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Relax on a 15 acre private Organic Farm complete with on site hiking trails, huge panoramic views, waterfalls and streams. Your stay includes access to all our gardens to prepare daily meals, create colorful floral arrangements along with an teak wood open air yoga / exercise studio. Stroll through citrus groves, exotic fruit trees and high altitude gourmet coffee. Bird watchers will find plenty of species to photograph. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. Your cabin is a super strong structure with teak wood ceilings , flooring and exterior deck. Insulated for quiet stays and warm nights.. Handmade railings of Guapinol add an artistic and rustic flavor. The deck views are to the South and West with great sunsets and panoramic views. The bathroom is provided with double hand wash sinks and custom tile. Hot water is at all sink stations. The kitchen is supplied with coffee maker , blender, rice and bean cookers and all the pots and pans to cook for yourself.

Beautiful property full of kind people taking care of it. We enjoyed our few days here, as a reprieve from the coastal heat. The organic garden was a major plus, and the trails through the property and bordering jungle were excellent for hiking and exploring. Toby and our dog became instant best friends. It was a great getaway for all. The home was clean and comfortable. Access to the property is rough, so bring your groceries as you likely won't want to (or need to!) leave.
Michael’s place is beautiful and peaceful. Our kids loved the hiking trails and all of the fruit trees and flowers. Michael was so thoughtful and helpful during our stay. He is an exceptional host. We really cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a place to stay in the mountains! The views are incredible, the porch and the yoga study are stunning, and the property is a real work of art. We can’t wait to return!
Was absolutely blown away by the views from Michaels place. Everything was perfect including his hospitality. Would recommend to anyone with a 4x4 that is visiting the area!
Michael’s finca is big and beautiful, with an expansive trail system throughout the property and through the rain forest. There are even a couple streams and waterfalls on the property. I enjoyed wondering through the gardens and he even let me help myself to some of the fresh fruit and veggies. The view from the deck/rooms is quite nice. You can see all the way to San Isidro and the hills beyond. The cabin is nice and pretty modern. The kitchen everything you need.

A popular attraction is Los Gigantes. You can hike to the trails to this Eco experience from the farm. It is well worth spending an extra night and exploring Los Gigantes forest, trails and water features. Also nearby, about 5 minutes by car is the Santa Lucía Trout Farm. Here you can fish for trout, enjoy a lunch and take in a relaxing Nature experience. The immediate area also offers a Hot Springs nearby and some fine dining experiences.
To arrive at the Buena Vista Farm, drive 350 meters above the only road past the church. The farm is on your Left with a nice steel and Teak wood double door entrance gate. Right after the black mesh fencing.
Best option is a small or large 4 x 4. Taxis are readily available for pick up and travel to local destinations. $8-$12 is customary depending on size or if a 4x4.
