Very unique place in the private hills of great barrier with an outdoor bath & in Ben that really made the place stand out and something special. Graeme was an excellent host who was very friendly, responsive & helpful went to the efforts of picking us up & dropping us off from the ferry terminal, making what can be the hard part about GBI the easy part.

The dark sky cabins were one of our favourite places to stay on our three week holiday. The views were breathtaking, and nothing beats enjoying them from a hot bath! Graeme kindly brought a cooler with ice to make up for the fridge not cooling properly, and he left plenty of wood for us to make a fire at night, which was lovely. This is a real cool off-grid experience - make sure to stock up on groceries as Claris is a 20 minute drive and things close early on the Barrier! Island time. :)

We spent 5 nights over Christmas at the Dark Sky Sanctuary with the kids. It is such a stunningly beautiful place and we felt relaxed immediately. Graeme was an absolute delight to deal with as well. So thankful to have been able to share this piece of paradise

Dark Sky Cabins is a truly incredible place to stay! Graeme was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. He guided us through check in and was hospitable, helpful, and responsive the whole time. We spent 2 great nights at this off grid location and were lucky enough to experience clear skies for beautiful stargazing. The outdoor tub added a relaxing element to the spectacular view. We fully recommend this place for a unique experience in an incredible location with a fantastic host. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
