Welcome to Kingston Foreshore, an enchanting waterfront precinct nestled on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, Australia's capital city. 4. Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre: This interactive science museum is located around 3.5kms northwest.
5. National Portrait Gallery: Showcasing portraits of notable Australians is situated around 3.5kms northwest.
6. Australian War Memorial: Commemorating the sacrifices of Australian soldiers is located about 5kms northwest.
7. Lake Burley Griffin: The beautiful Lake Burley Griffin is right at the doorstep of Kingston Foreshore, and our apartment, providing a picturesque setting for various water activities and lakeside walks.

9. Australian National Botanic Gardens: Home to a diverse range of Australian flora, a Day Spa and cafe, is located around 7kms northwest.
10. Commonwealth Park, The Carillion: Enjoy Bell Tower or the scenic bridge to bridge walk taking in some of Canberra’s most iconic sights. Around 3kms northwest from Lakefront to the Carillion.

Canberra has a well-planned road network, making it easy to navigate by car. Public transportation options are also available and there are multiple pedestrian options along with hiring a scooter! Kingston Foreshore is a ‘walkable’ central location with a myriad of sights and experiences available within a short walking distance. • Buses: ACTION buses operate throughout the city, offering a convenient way to travel to various attractions and suburbs. The MyWay card is used for fare payment. Visit Transport ACT for more details - links aren't allowed here
• Kingston Bus Routes include R2 R6 56 and 182 - more details on routes and timetables via Transport ACT - links aren't allowed here!
• Light Rail: The Canberra Light Rail system, known as the "Canberra Metro," connects the city centre with the northern suburb of Gungahlin. It provides a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transport. Great if you’re travelling from the city to Gungahlin!
• Cycling: Canberra boasts an extensive network of cycling paths, allowing visitors to explore the city on two wheels. Bike rentals are available from various providers (Share a Bike is a good option)

• eScooters: A fun experience and easy way to see all the sights close to the Foreshore! To use either a Beam or Neuron scooter you'll need to download their respective apps and scan the QR code on the scooter to unlock it and start your ride. All scooters have a helmet attached which you can unlock from the app when you start your ride.
• Taxis and Ridesharing: Taxis and ridesharing services like Uber are readily available in Canberra.
• Walking: Many of Canberra's attractions are within walking distance of each other, particularly around the Kingston Foreshore and in the city centre. Exploring on foot is a pleasant way to discover the city's hidden gems.
• Walking Trails: So many things to see! Nature at her finest.
• Car Rentals: Car rental services are available at the Canberra Airport and within the city. Renting a car gives you the freedom to explore the city and its surroundings at your own pace. The Airport is only around 9km or 12 minutes from our apartment.
• Canberra Airport: Is located a convenient 12 minute drive from the apartment with flights departing interstate regularly
• Kingston Train Station and Bus Depot: Located on Burke Crescent in Kingston (called Canberra Station), Transport NSW operates various Train and Interstate / Regional Bus services from here – conveniently located 1.4km or a 5 minute walk from the apartment
It's important to note that Canberra's attractions are spread out, so it's advisable to plan your itinerary and consider transportation options accordingly.
