Warm and cosy studio, located in the heart of Lisbon's historic center, between Alfama, the Castle and Cathedral. Fully equipped and furnished, this studio has a living area with an open, fully equipped kitchen (cooking plate, microwave, washing and drying machine, fridge and freezer and all kitchenware), a table for 4, a TV and a sofa. In a separate area there is a double bed and a closet. Please note that currently the building in front of ours is under works. This means that there might be noise between 9:00 AM until 16:30/17:00 PM on weekdays, there is also a scaffolding very close to our building because this is a narrow street, hence there is less natural light. If you are out during the day this is not too disturbing since in the evening everything is quiet as usual. While this is happening a discount is applied to the usual price per night in the season.

Lovely little studio, bed very comfy, great shower and all amenities needed for a short stay. The reasons this isn’t 5 stars are: 1. There is no natural lighting, which didn’t bother us at first but became slightly disorienting as the days went on - particularly as the lightning in the apartment isn’t very bright 2. Checkout was strictly 10am, the cleaner was waiting outside the apartment for us to leave. We would have liked some flexibility considering checkout is 4pm and this is a small studio, so not sure why there is such a big gap between checkin and checkout - I understand guests wanting to leave their bags but perhaps we could have also been offered a similar option, like we can keep our bags there until the cleaner has finished
Needed a last minute stay and this listing met our needs. Be advised this is on a hill ( to be expected in Lisbon). Place was spotless and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
Good location, and reasonable walking distance to all of the main attractions we wanted to see. Host was lovely to communicate with! If you are a light sleeper this might not be the spot for you - noisy upstairs neighbours late at night, and early in the morning. As noted, there is also no air conditioning - fans are provided but they are also quite noisy, and we didn't find they cooled the unit much.
Die Unterkunft befindet sich in sehr guter Lage im Stadtteil Alfama. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern ist hervorragend. Die einzigen Nachteile sind, dass man die Geräusche aus der oberen Wohnung stark hört. Außerdem war das Gefrierfach kaputt. Ansonsten kann ich die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.
Nous recommandons ce logement pour toutes personnes souhaitant visiter Lisbonne. Très proche du centre et des transports en commun, nous pouvons tout faire à pied et c'est agréable. Concernant le logement en lui-même, il est fonctionnel et agréable. Ana est très réactive et les instructions sont utiles et claires. Merci !!!

This old building is located in a very ancient area, where you can sense Lisbon's old soul. In the heart of Lisbon's historic center, it's walking distance from the S. Jorge's Castle, the Lisbon's Cathedral, Alfama neighbourhood, Graça's and Sta Luzia's viewpoints. Nearby you will find restaurants, traditional stores and public transports. You can take the famous 28 tram, the metro or walk around the city historic center. Close by you may also take the train to Cascais and to Sintra to discover these beautiful cities near Lisbon.
To help you have a smooth arrival to our city, I can give you the contact to arrange a transfer from the airport, the price depends on the number of people and the hour of arrival. The metro is a few minutes away (Martim Moniz station) and the 28 tram as well. To go to Belém you can take the 15 tram at Praça da Figueira (15 minutes away) and if you would like to visit Sintra you can take the train at Rossio (also 15 minutes away). You can get to the beach very easily, you just need to get the train at Cais do Sodré and get out at Carcavelos or São Pedro (surfing spots) Estoril or Cascais.
If you are coming with a car, please note that since we are located in the heart of the historic area, the streets are very narrow and it's very difficult to find parking in the street.

Hi I'm Ana! I was born in Angola, spent some of my childhood in Mozambique, lived in Belgium for 7 years and in Brasil for other 7, but my soul belongs to Lisbon, I simply love this city! My passion is to refurbish and decorate old apartments in Lisbon's historic neighbourhoods. All the apartments in Beco da Laje are located in a totally renovated old building, in one of Lisbon's oldest areas near São Jorge's Castle, they are all very special to me.
