The one and only Edge of Esson Lake is on Airbnb! Hosting large groups and families for 15 years, this established cottage rental property is the destination of choice for those looking for a spacious, private, and fun place to create unforgettable memories. With many return customers year after year, you have to see for yourself the charm of 'The Edge' and book your next family getaway with us. We would love to consider hosting your group. Our cottage is geared towards families and mature guests and offers a smoke-free, pet-free space for groups to spread out over the 4500 sq ft space, 2000 sq ft wrap around deck, or 465 ft of water frontage to enjoy time together or time alone. There are six enclosed bedrooms plus a loft area with two sets of bunk beds suitable for up to 4 children. There are 2 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms. Unfortunately, although animal lovers ourselves, we currently employ a strict no pets policy. What is provided: -We provide all equipment needed for cooking/baking, some spices, salt and pepper, cleaning supplies, paper towel (2 rolls), toilet paper (3 rolls in each bathroom), kitchen and hand towels, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, dish soap, sponge, hand soap, propane for the BBQ. -Regular coffee machine and Nespresso Essenza mini (bring own pods) -Comforters/duvets -Baby crib with mattress What to bring: -Bed sheets (fitted sheet and top sheet), pillows, and bath towels. -Drinking water. The water is from the lake and goes through filters and a UV treatment. Although it is safe to drink, some people may be sensitive to the change and require an adjustment period. Please bring your own water if there are any concerns. -Crib mattress cover Guest responsibilities: -There is no waste pickup service in Haliburton so recycling and garbage must be taken to the landfill at the end of your stay. A landfill pass is provided so there is no additional fee. The landfill is ~7 minutes away. -The cottage is on a septic tank, so please only put toilet paper in it and while the water is unlimited, it is also a good idea to take short showers. -The hot tub is operational year-round and requires the use of hot tub shocks during your stay to keep the water clean and sanitized. If previous guests did not follow the use instructions the water may not be suitable for use and it may not be resolved immediately. For this reason, use of the hot tub is not guaranteed and we hope you'll help us take care of the hot tub during your stay to keep it safe and clean for all to enjoy. -Please leave the cottage as you've found it.
