Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Dan was very quick to respond to our questions before check in. They were very accommodating and put out a high chair and baby gate across the stairs. The cottage was a great location with a nice dock for swimming from. There was plenty of space for two families and grandparents. We would definitely come back again.

We loved this beautiful cottage. It was perfect for our family get together, everyone had a lovely bedroom, decor was very upscale while still retaining that warm cottage feel. Great working kitchen….we all love to cook so this kitchen met our needs well. Perhaps one of the highlights would be the sizeable dock overlooking a stunning lake, clean shoreline and perfect for swimming or lying our late at night to see the stars. It was private, with courteous and quiet neighbours. Roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, playing games in the sizeable rooms, getting through three jigsaw puzzles….this was the perfect place for our gang. Dan and Karina, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful space and your efforts to make our arrival timely and easy. You are excellent hosts, responsive and thoughtful about our questions or requests! We sure hope we will be welcomed back!

My family and I had a great time at Dan and Karina's cottage. They were very responsive and helpful with directions and any questions we had. The weather unfortunately didn't cooperate, which meant we made great use of the large and cozy living room. We had a nice and relaxing stay.

This is a great cottage & location - Esson lake is really nice to swim in, and was still quiet and relaxing even on a long weekend. Though the neighbours are pretty close by, it still feels private and surrounded by nature. The setting & house were great for a big family gathering -- great kitchen for cooking & enjoying family feasts, beautiful picture windows from the main room, nice screened in porch. There's a good supply of games and the foosball tournament was a highlight! Dan and Karina are responsive and helpful. I appreciated the very quick responses to questions. There are a few things that I might have expected would be included in the rental at this price point (e.g. providing towels to use at the dock). Overall a great stay!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The weather cooperated, and that definitely made our peaceful escape exceptional. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, cycling and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked and the accommodations were perfect. Our entourage consisted of 3 generations, and the kids (6, 9 and 12) were always in the water swimming. Esson Lake was surprisingly warm. A great little family retreat.. Thanks Dan and Karina. We loved it.
