Our group has been getting together through the years and this was our 1st stay at this amazing house. We are a group of college friends that met over 40 years ago and recently started gathering for an annual reunion. Mariou and Kathleen were amazing hosts and responded to any questions and needs before and during our stay. We made great use of the jacuzzi and the grill (had to replace empty propane tank on grill). The listing does need a couple clarifications. No TV service is one. There is a smart TV, so make sure you can stream whatever you want to watch. Not a deal breaker by any stretch, but needed to figure out how we were gonna watch the Kentucky Derby. ;) All in all, one of the nicest places we have stayed at recently and will definitely consider a return next year if we are gathering in the Harrisburg/Hershey area. Thanks to Mariou for allowing us to stay at this awesome "cabin in the woods!"
Only stayed here one night but wish we got the chance to stay longer because the home was so beautiful. We came end of April and the outside was very peaceful and beautiful. Mariou was super helpful and lovely to work with. I would definitely recommend this home to larger families or friend groups.
What an incredible home! It is even more beautiful than the photos could possibly show! The setting is private yet so close to everything. Every single room and aspect of this house was accurately described and completely immaculate. The beds were so comfortable and the linens top of the line. Mariou is a wonderful communicator who clearly takes a lot of pride in the home and experience she is offering. We had an amazing time and would absolutely love to stay here again when we are in the area. Thank you Mariou for being a fantastic and HONEST homeowner!
We had a wonderful stay! The pictures were true to life, and the setting truly felt secluded and peaceful. The inside was impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and found a fully stocked kitchen and games room. The WiFi was fast and reliable, so we were able to work from there, even for lengthy video meetings. Overall a great time and we would definitely return!

Additionally, within a mere three-minute drive, you'll find a range of essential amenities, including a Wal-Mart, Rite Aid pharmacy, hardware store, Darrenkamp's grocery store, as well as several gas stations and restaurants, ensuring all your needs are easily met.
Free parking is available on-site. The closest bus and train station are located in Harrisburg, about 15 minutes away.
