I booked this place for 8 overseas guests , with a promise of 4 bathrooms . Checkin was easy , the property is big , clean and located in a peaceful location and was as per the advertisement. During first eve , one of the kid accidentally activated the security alarm and Altido was helpful and proactive in getting it resolved . The property had a missing electric iron , but they were quick to get it delivered . But we had serious issues regarding bathrooms . one of the main attached bathroom was leaking and getting flooded and another was clogging . That practically reduced the functioning bathroom to 50%. Altido or/and owner couldn't fix this issue at all . This left a bad taste with guests and also impacted every days plan. Altido was proactive in offering 15% refund . Unfortunately this amount was not seen as fair compensation. So from overall value perspective, this was a bad deal.

This review is for the home and not for Altido. My communication with Altido through the process of renting this house was fast and fair. Major problems that were noted to Altido during our stay: 1. no lock on the back door (only a shutter system) and home isn’t fully fenced. Anyone can gain entry to the home via a footpath in the rear of the home. 2. Musty/moldy smell throughout. Paint on the ceiling in the blue striped bedroom looks to cover mold. 3. Refrigerator broke and spoiled all of our food, knobs on oven were so worn that we couldn’t read the oven function or temperature rendering it useless, multiple electic switches were broken, dishwasher wouldn’t run, terribly appointed kitchen- cooking wasn’t a possibility. 4. Multiple lights were dangling from wires for light fixtures. 5. Finally, cockroaches all over in the bathrooms. One was killed and photographed. Leaking toilets at bases and terribly leaky shower stalls led to water everywhere after usage. It was horrible!
