Woodland retreat, private secluded space within 5 acres of semi ancient woodland. Surrounded by stunning countryside, farmland, lakes, fields; ideal for long walks around the beautiful county of West Sussex or visiting local attractions! Open plan sitting room with wood burner for cosy nights in. Kitchen and dining area providing the necessary facilities for a home cooked meal if staying in. Small delightful cabin located on the edge of the woods; superb ‘back to nature’ retreat. Open plan ‘studio’ layout - kitchenette with two ring hob, sink, worktop; hot air cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle. Dining area opens out to the lounge. Cosy sofa and armchair are set around the hearth and wood burning stove. Logs are provided for the first night only. (Additional logs can be purchased @ £20 a bag, incl. kindling and firelighters.) Small bedroom with double bed. Deluxe bedding, duck and down duvet and pillows, heated mattress protector. High thread count, cotton bedding. En-suite with shower.

This place is amazing! We had the best couple of nights away from the busy-ness of London. The Bothy is just as described and has everything you need. We even had some deer visit us on our last morning. Maranda was the perfect host too. We couldn’t fault it - will 100% be returning
We had a lovely stay at Maranda's little cottage in the woods. It was exactly as described, right in the middle of beautiful woodland, with many more nearby - perfect for the dog! It was also incredibly private and peaceful, which, coming from a busy city was exactly what we were after. Maranda was a wonderful host, being incredibly responsive, helpful, and flexible We are already planning to come back in a few months!
We had a lovely stay! We struggled to find as we were arriving via taxi. I phoned Maranda to ask for directions and she was extremely helpful. The bothy looked exactly like the pictures and me and my partner had the most lovely peaceful get away from the city. Thank you Maranda ! ❤️
What can I say, this was a very short but very sweet trip. If only I could have planned to stay a little longer. The location is beyond beautiful set in a big stretch of private woodland. It was such a lovely experience wandering through the woods which left me in awe and very appreciative of the nature around us. Especially on Earth day. Maranda has created such a beautiful space with a privacy that lets you just melt into surroundings. The constant of birds chirping was such a welcoming noise, to that being compared to the hustle and bustle from the city. A perfect getaway which I could find a lot of peace, rest and allowed for some creativity to flow. Will be looking to come back here again when in need of a break for a break from the city. Maranda’s little treasure hut in the woods was truly wonderful, my son and I had a wonderful time together. In the spring when the bluebells are out it’s magical. The wood burner makes the evenings cosy! Highly recommend

Rowfant is a small hamlet surrounded by woodland and farms, re-wilding fields and much beautiful countryside.
Country pubs and restaurants are within a 2 min drive on the road, or 25 min walk approx, along public footpaths.
Rowfant Cafe offers a great breakfast or lunch and is only a short walk from the Bothy.
We have various local attractions: Tulley’s, with many events throughout the seasons, incl., outdoor cinema and Escape Rooms is approx 1 mile from us, as is the World of Water.
Ardingly South of England Show-ground is approx 3 miles with various shows, antique fairs, car boots, dog walking and so much more.
Lingfield Racecourse is approx 15 min drive and holds many events during the year.
A car is essential as there isn’t a bus service in Rowfant. You can, however, walk to Crawley Down village (approx 20-30 min walk) to get the bus to East Grinstead, Forest Row, Tunbridge Wells or Crawley and some of the surrounding villages.
Plenty of parking available for the Bothy.
Bikes are available to hire if required.
