This home was lovely, quaint and serene. The beautiful garden and outdoor area was the main attraction of the home however much more suited to less wet weather as when it rains in pours and there wasn't much room for movement if you didn't come with umbrellas! The main house itself is rather small and the sofa bed descripted is extremely uncomfortable, definitely not suited for 2 guests. The flat towards the end of the house however is the show stopper as the gorgeous wall to wall window frames the river perfectly, which made waking up all the more enjoyable. We couldn't get the outdoor fairy lights to work however, we made use of the under cover sheltered area. Spent majority of our time out of the property however on one of the days it was blistering rain, and the main homes lounge room made for a cozy and comfortable place to spend the day and binge watch tv. We did also utilise the kayaks and made the trip worth our while with what we had!
A lot of my friends asked for the airbnb link, free advertising for good places. The only flaw is the some accessories aren’t working properly, some of the like bulbs for instance.
The garden is nice, room is smaller, I don't think the bed is queen-sized, more like double size. can't do fishing and kayaking as the lake is dry. The Host is nice, but we can't enjoy staying as limited items, not like home, also no private water fun as described on adv, have to cancel for one night.
The property has lots of space and the highlight is the outdoor dining, with lots of comfortable furniture, shelter from wind, ambient fairy lights and insect repellant devices for nighttime. We slept in the studio, which gets lots of natural light and is more spacious than the main bedroom. Do be aware, however, that the photos are taken at an angle that don’t show the tide height - we were expecting water right up to the deck, but for most of our stay the bay was dry for up to 100m out, which certainly changes the scenery. The couch in the living room could also do with an upgrade, as it was very uncomfortable, and a council recycling bin should’ve been available. Overall, we had a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Great place. Close to shops & a beautiful backyard right on the water. Highly Recommended. 10/10
