Our lovely Villa has a rustic colonial feel to it. Located at a 2 minutes walk from Taj Vivanta, Samudra Beach. The lush green foliage and backwaters is the best that Kerala offers. You get a Private room with balcony,bathroom and modern amenities! When you book 3 rooms, you'll have an entire floor to yourself, with private access. Two rooms - Jaipur and Benaras have an interconnected lobby and share the library and access stairway. The Goa room is completely private with its own library! We're located in a very popular tourist spot - Samudra Beach, Kovalam. This place is where Taj Vivanta and Uday Samudra, KTDC hotel etc are located. Our Villa is tucked into the road where Vivanta is located. The surroundings are quiet and full of greenery. You can take a short 5 minute walk to the Beach. Note : Our rooms are bigger and spacious than other homestays. You get private balconies to relax and you can also sip some tea with us in the lawn. Visitors can park upto two cars outside the villa. Each room can fit 3 guests comfortably - you'll have to pay for the extra guest though. Another note :) On some days in my calendar, I have only 2 rooms available. Send me a message before booking for 6 or more guests (but if you're OK with extra beds, then it's all cool)

Ruhige Lage. Wie wir es uns gewünscht haben. Viel Privatsphäre im ersten Stock. Sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet. Grosse Zimmer und schön grosses Bett. Supersauber. Liebevolle, gastreundliche Familie. Für mich war es sehr warm, da kein Wind vom Meer spürbar. Deshalb war ich froh um den Ventilator auf dem Balkon. AC natürlich auch da. Mann könnte günstiger wohnen wenn man will. Für uns wars optimal und mit dem Tuk Tuk fährt man im 10 Minuten zum Kovalam Beach. Zu Fuss ist man in fünf Minuten unten am Meer, da gibts gutes Essen und über den Hügel läuft man nochmals fünf Minuten zum Baden am Samudra Beach und zur Moschee am Strand.
The place was great, a few mins walk from the beach. Two of the rooms are quite spacious, one of them is a smaller room. Every room has a huge balcony. Tabu is a gracious host and very helpful in terms of guiding where to go/explore. She makes you feel welcome and the entire family is very warm & gracious especially the little one Zoya 😊
Homely and friendly in a great location. Host is very helpful with local tips and connections. Relaxing balcony overlooking lovely garden with wildlife. Recommended for a relaxing beach visit.

We planned a short stay at Kovalam during our recent visit to Kerala. From the start, Benazir was very proactive and responsive. Once we made the booking, she informed us that her sister, Tabu, and her family would receive us during the stay. Tabu also was very responsive on text and extremely helpful. The room was so quaint and beautiful. The shared areas and the rooms are aesthetically beautiful and really made me feel like we were somewhere in Bali. Though the parking facility is usually on the street, Tabu helped us park inside a neighbour's house at night, putting us at ease as we were using a rented car. She also directed us to the right place for us to find the activities that we were looking for the next day. The breakfast provided was also very homely and comforting. If there is anything that I regret, it's that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy both Kovalam and Neela House. Highly recommend this stay and we'll definitely be booking whenever we go to Kovalam again.

Far away from the maddening city! Easy access to Auto Rickshaws/ Tuk Tuks. Extremely close to the beach, the entire neighborhood is decent, quiet and friendly.
1. You can take a walk on winding roads to see some backwaters.
2. You can take a short walk to the beach.
3. You should try the seafood on the beach.
4. Try the amazing natural thirst quencher - fresh coconut water!
5. Take an early morning walk to the beach during fishing season to see the catch of the day!
6. Take a Tuk Tuk (auto rickshaw) to the main junction and hop on a bus to East Fort. East Fort is like the entrance to the city - from here you can take Rickshaws cuz they'll charge you by the meter. But if you'll take an auto rickshaw/Tuk Tuk near the beach - they'll rip you. (They're stationed near Taj - what can you expect)
7. Go further to Kovalam Beach and enjoy Leela Palace there.
8. Seafood on that Beach (Leela) is mind blowing! The price is also equally exorbitant - but I think it's worth it.
9. We're also close to the Vizhinjam harbour. And a few lovely mosques on the way.
10. We're close to the Bheemapally mosque - a tourist spot.
11. We have great eateries near our house since we live close to the beach.
12. There's a good Authentic Ayurvedic Massage Center near our place - the owner is a friend and offers good prices for our guests.
13. We also have a small jewelry and handicrafts store on the beach.
You can take a cab from the airport and direct them to Samudra Beach. From our place, you find Rickshaws/ Tuk Tuk parked near Taj Vivanta. Bargain well with them cuz they never charge you by the meter.
If you have your own car then rest assured the roads are good - and you have parking space outside the villa. It's not a brilliant parking space but that road is less traversed and hence we assure safe parking. You can park upto two cars. Don't be upset at parking - this is the way of life over here ;)
Two wheelers like scooters and bikes can be parked inside the villa gates (on request).
The best way to get to the city is to take a rickshaw and get dropped at the junction. That'll be about 60-70 INR. From there you can pick good air-conditioned Volvo buses to hit East Fort - the main city.
We do go to the city a lot of times - if you can fit in our little hatchback - you're most welcome to hitch a ride.
