Welcome to our lovely valley surrounded by Olympic National Forest! Our custom built 2500 sq ft log cabin has all the rustic charm and fun you need for your next getaway. Enjoy 10 acres of very private space with a pond, mountain views in all directions, woodstove, and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking in. Equally great for a romantic escape or your gaggle of kids and pets. No cell reception, but very fast Starlink wifi for calls and streaming. Only 15 minutes from downtown Sequim. Our log home is situated in the midst of national forest land - a true wilderness retreat. And at 1400 feet, you're already in the foothills of the Olympics! The property includes 10 acres of mostly wild prairie, a small pond, and a stand of evergreen trees. Right from our porch you may see hundreds of birds, hear coyotes at nightfall, and spot deer, ducks and other wildlife at the pond. Just 15 minutes up the road from the cabin is a trailhead that takes you into Olympic National Park. At the same time you're 15 minutes drive from the grocery store and 12 minutes from a breakfast-all-day diner in Sequim. Inside the cabin you'll find a grand living room with vaulted ceilings and a woodstove, kitchen fully stocked for waffle breakfasts and family dinner, and three bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with king bed). Bathrooms both have showers and tubs. We use organic products in the kitchen and plant based bathroom products whenever possible (no chemicals!). The loft provides an additional hang zone complete with Nintendo 64 and a classic collection of DVDs.

I can’t begin to express how much I enjoyed my stay. Everything was perfect and family/dog friendly! The views were spectacular and pictures do not do the cabin justice. This cabin is homey and gorgeous. We checked in and found snacks and a well-equipped kitchen. Our 120lbs dog loved the spacious yard and cabin. Mi kids didn’t want to leave (neither did I). The location was perfect for our hiking trip and Sequim is beautiful. The cabin is secluded and in a safe area. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature and needs a break from the bustling city. If you are hesitant because of the price I guarantee you it’s totally worth it. I plan on coming back very soon because of how positive the experience was at this cabin. The host was so friendly and communicated every step of the way, providing detailed instructions and information.
Lovely, well-kept log cabin. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with most necessaties. Our kids and we had a great time. The property is serene, but not too far off the highway. We had so much fun with star gazing at night and exploring the pond and fields during the day. Caught a couple sunny days for a beer on the porch. About an hour drive away from our favorite places in this part of the Olympic national park.
A unique modern log house with lots of space for a family of four. Lovely views across the local valley up to the Olympics and out to the Cascades. It seems remote but is a super quick trip down to amenities in Sequim, and Port Angeles and the Victoria ferry aren't much further. The place is well appointed, and Danielle was proactive, approachable, and super easy and quick to communicate with. Trails and the Dungeness and Grey Wolf river were close on relatively straightforward dirt roads, and the quiet roads around the cabin were easy to walk on as well. We'd definitely come back again.
Danielle was the most responsive owner I have ever experienced. This place was amazing. Very comfortable I will definitely visit again.

The road to our house is paved, but the driveway is gravel. There is plenty of room to park your cars.

We are Danielle, Chris and (1 year old) Murphy and we're so delighted to share our cabin with you. Danielle grew up going to the peninsula every summer and it was her dream for many years to find a spot to call her own. Happy to give tips on hiking, backpacking, and more! We live and work in Seattle, but come out to the cabin at least once a month to hike, chill, and play. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
