Could be a beautiful house if it was kept up. Ants were everywhere and ruined our food. Lots of stuff needed to be cleaned. Didn't leave out any broom or spray to clean as we stayed. Mold was on the walls. Grass was so long and unkept. Didn't leave enough of things for the amount of days and people we we bringing (paper towels, soap)

Vacasa is a massive pain to deal with. You message them on the air bnb app it goes to a massive call center and have to call a 1- 800 number. Then it only get processed. When we moved in the freezer was not working. Lights in one room did not turn on as a breaker was off and we have no access to the breaker panel. We waited 8 days to get a freezer in the house that works even though when they delivered it they said it broke when the last guest stayed in the place. Definitely needs some maintenance, there’s a TV missing in the one room that shows in the photos. Was not a problem as we never watched TV but worth a mention. Great potential under the correct management and little money put back into the place could go a long way.

Great location! Dear in yard almost all the time! We love the Sequim area! This house is impressive! Just has some small cosmetic issues. Overall a fun stay

I have mixed feelings about this property. On one side, it's surrounded by a beautiful landscape and we saw many does and fawns! It's peaceful and we spent the mornings listening to birds and drinking coffee outside. The architecture is unique and I don't think I’ll ever see another rainforest INSIDE a house. The master shower was luxurious and all the kitchen appliances were very nice. The decor was dated and not our style but it wasn't a bother. The place was larger than we needed but it was the only airbnb available in the area for the time period we needed. Check in was easy and we were an able to drop our suitcases off early while the maid finished cleaning. CONS: Cleanliness When we got settled in, we noticed the place was not very clean. There was hair on the floor and the carpet was stained. The carpet did appear to be vacuumed, just stained very badly. The dishes and utensils in the drawers were dirty and the counters were not clean. The theater chairs also were not clean. The biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was VERY dirty. It was brown and we were unable to use it. The entire appeal of the indoor forest was to be able to use the hot tub in that ambiance. Broken Items One of the sinks in the master was stuck closed and would not drain. One of the shower handles was defective but operable. As other guests have stated, the theater chairs were stuck either reclined or unable to be reclined. Not a big deal for us. The wi-fi was also terrible. There's no service out there and we could barely get the wifi to work and when it did, it was very slow. It's also worth noting the property has no blinds or curtains. With sunset around 5:15am or is hard to sleep in if you want to. In summary, the property is beautiful, check in and out was seamless, but it was dirty and some things broken. For the cost, I did not find this rental worth it.

I was contacted by owner a few days before vacation began. It was about some maintenance which needed to happen on one of the days we were there. That was OK with my group of 8. Once we discussed that we confirmed that all was ready for us, just needed to be cleaned on Saturday before our evening arrival. Was glad to hear from him, but the cleaning didn't get done. Our group cleaned the place so that we would be able to sleep in the beds, use the kitchen, and the bathrooms and showers. So from our arrival at 8pm until 10:30pm, we deep cleaned. Not a great start. The owner answered a call that evening. I told him we took care of the cleaning for that evening, but it still needed a few things. He apologized and of his own accord offered to refund the cleaning fees and at least one night stay. We thought that was fair and we moved on and enjoyed the place, though there were still several things unusable (dishwasher, a bathroom sink, TVs, internet slow to no good). I texted him at end of stay (Saturday) to say we had a good week, that he had a beautiful place, and that we hoped he would honor his word. We'll see how that goes soon.
