You're piece of Paradise to relax with the family! Go to sleep listening to the ocean and wake to birds chirping. Bring your rods & catch dinner right from the backyard. You will create memories in this quiet seaside town. Nene valley is a remote area 15 mins from Port Macdonnell & 25 mins drive from Mt Gambier. The limestone coast is home to wineries & amazing natural experiences including National parks , lakes & heritage listed Caves . Pets allowed with an extra clean fee added . This was a fisherman’s shack built in the 60s . It’s a basic house with functional , neat & clean rooms. Small bathroom & seperate toilet. The hero is the backyard - the closeness to the ocean .

Janet's place was perfect for what we wanted - a quiet retreat right on the beach yet close enough to get to surrounding areas. We loved the location and the homeliness of Janet's place, really well appointed cooking equipment and the view was wonderful. Janet was quick to respond, check in was easy and the location is easy to find. We just loved it and will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at the beachfront shack over the long weekend. Nene Valley is a beautiful remote location - peaceful and quiet but close enough to Port MacDonnell and Mount Gambier if you prefer to get out and about. We enjoyed eating brekky while looking out to the sea and spent nights listening to the ocean. Janet was very friendly and the amenities were just right for a relaxing getaway. Would recommend!
Beautiful place, Janet was very helpful in regards to all aspects of our trip, view from the back was great at high tide. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area

Quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. There are no shops in Nene valley but a short 15 min drive away to Port Mac there’s a general store. This is like camping but in a beachfront shack!
Due to the coastline and on big tides there is often seaweed washed onto the beaches - this is an important part of the eco-system and the reason this area is fantastic fishing. You will adjust to the seaweed smell wofting in occasionally. The joys of living right on the beach!!
YOu need a car or bike to get around the area. This is a remote location.
