The cottage is one of three, former farm workers cottages which enjoy far-reaching views across the open farmland towards the Northumberland National Park. Set near a working farm, it offers a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy watching gliders swooping silently over the Cheviots, taking gentle strolls to the local pub, café and country store in Milfield (2.5 miles) or exploring the local area by car. In the market town of Wooler (8 miles) you’ll find restaurants, cafés and shops; a lovely spot to while away a couple of hours and opening in 2023 is Ad Gefrin, a new experience showcasing the area’s rich Anglo Saxon heritage. Drive to Bamburgh Castle on the stunning coastline and cross the causeway to Holy Island. Close by Alnwick Castle (where Harry Potter was filmed) and its beautiful gardens also offers a memorable day out. Over the Scottish border, historic Kelso, Melrose and Jedburgh are all within easy reach. This pretty cottage has a bright and modern feel, the owners have added many thoughtful and personal touches to ensure that you have a memorable and comfortable stay. A cosy lounge with wooden floor, comfortable sofa, stylish armchairs and wood burner (a scuttle of logs provided) provides the perfect place to kick back and relax in the evening.
