Welcome to your home away from home in the NEK. Near the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, Bread and Puppet Theater, The Highland Center of the Arts, hiking, kayaking, biking, skiing, shopping and dining. Read that book you've been meaning to get to. Gaze out the studio window into the woods as you listen to the stream below. Private entrance below the owners home, perfect for one or 2 people looking for peace and quiet. If you are lucky enough to be in the mountains, you are lucky enough!'. This studio apartment is comfortable, quiet and private. As we live right above the Northwoods Studio Suite, we kindly request there be no additional guests beyond those on the booking and, by extention, no parties. We are pet friendly for up to one well behaved pooch. We ask that all pups be kept off furniture as future guests may have allergies. Please let us know if you need a dog bed. Also, we ask you keep your pup with you when you are away from the Studio Suite or crate them. If you need a crate, you can borrow one. Also, we will be quiet neighbors and ask the same from our guests. We request volume control after 9 pm and will extend the same courtesy.

The studio was a great place for us to stay. Everything an Airbnb spot should be! The host was very responsive, the suite was very clean and had everything we needed and the location was both quiet and scenic. Thanks very much for paying attention to detail and hosting this wonderful spot. We will be back!
Comfortable studio apartment
Gwen’s place was cozy and convenient during my visit to Craftsbury.
I stayed at this cozy studio with my two dogs for three nights, and it was the perfect getaway. I came for the ski races at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, a 15 minute drive. This is a nice place to stay in a beautiful part of rural Vermont.

East Craftsbury is a rural, place of dirt roads, beautiful mountain views and a mix of old Vermont farming families as well as people who intentionally made this northwoods place their
home. You'll notice a strong backbone of entrepreneurs mixed in with the taciturn Yankee spirit which Vermont is known for. It's community minded, cultured yet rugged. There's no place I'd rather call home.
Bring a car! Best AWD in winter.

I am originally an urban Midwesterner who gratefully made my way to the Northeast Kingdom, Vermont which is like taking a giant step back in time. There is a substantial local agrarian economy, general stores, and working farms. This land where we live is surrounded by unspoiled and outlandish natural beauty in all directions. With our days and by the seasons, we tend gardens, care for the barn animals, maintain and build trails, play and work through the winter folly, soak in the beauty year-round and eat great local food that Larry prepares. We also have 'day jobs'. Besides being a fab cook, Larry farms, is a builder and Jack of Most Things! I maintain a small private mental health practice. Larry is an avid sci-fi reader where I am more likely to binge on Netflix. We both have lived and worked abroad separately and together. The next big trip we are planning is to get a beater van and go west! Cheers!
