The name ‘Gunyah’ means ‘house/hut/shelter’ in the Birpai Aboriginal language. Our tiny house was built by Häuslein in Port Macquarie & boasts stunning solid timbers throughout. It is a sustainable, completely off grid stay, with a large deck area with outdoor setting, a beautiful 1940's clawfoot bath, a Ziggy BBQ and reverse cycle A/C. It is set in the beautiful, rolling hills of the Far North Coast and is only a short drive from local townships, Byron Bay, Nimbin & local tourist attractions. Kick back and relax in our 100% off grid tiny house while you take in the scenic views of Mt Nardi and lush local farmlands. Modanville is home to the Birdwing butterfly and our farm is uniquely surrounded by nature including koalas, goannas, echidnas, wallabies, wedged tail eagles, and an array of birdlife and butterflies. We have supplied the basics to make your stay comfortable including bed linen, towels, cutlery, crockery, glassware, cookware, BBQ utensils, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper. No microwave included however there is the option of the inside gas burners and Ziggy BBQ. Plus enjoy our sustainable features during your stay: Beautifully soft 100% hemp bedlinen, 100% Australian wool quilts, Natural & nontoxic Koala Eco products and Australian made Sukin hair/body wash products. Please note the tiny home does include 2x double beds and can accommodate up to 4 people however please be mindful this is a small space with limited storage.

My fiancé and I loved our stay at Emily’s small home. It was the perfect place to rewind, get off of our phones, explore neighbouring towns, and simply relax. The view from the drive down to the house is incredible, and we absolutely loved our stay. Not to mention Emily was a great host! We will be back sometime again in the future.
