The original water mill meets a gentle river at the foot of the house, embraced by a large garden with private wood-fired hot tub, unencumbered views and a guaranteed sunset. Kingfishers, Otters, Swans, and more grace the riverside, Whether it's a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a gathering of friends, our stone mill house promises an unforgettable experience. This charming Iron Mill was originally built in the 1860s before being converted into a home in the late 1970s and recently renovated into a flawless holiday house. This stunning and spacious space has been designed over three floors, as you enter on the first floor, you are welcomed by the beautiful staircase framing the sunlight which floods in through the double doors at the back of the house. It perfectly brings together the vast open-plan living and dining area which boasts a comfortable seating area, ideal for cozying up by the fire with a movie or an evening of entertainment and games. On the other side of the staircase sits a large dining table and entrance to the modern and well-equipped kitchen which boasts triple aspect views, first-class amenities, and an island to enjoy warm pastries at breakfast, alternatively choose to sit at the kitchen table overlooking the garden; the kitchen itself situated at the far end of the house, on the first floor as you enter through the original cast iron and glass doors. On the second floor, wake up to triple aspect views in the Master bedroom with its Super King-sized bed and beautifully tiled ensuite bathroom complete with free-standing bath and shower. Also located on the first floor are the two remaining bedrooms; one complete with two (full-size) bunk beds perfect for families or a group of friends, and one other spacious bedroom complete with a king-sized bed and desk overlooking the nearby country fields. The first floor hosts a bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. There is additionally a small bathroom (toilet) on the first floor. There is a further self-contained downstairs ground floor level double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, seating sofa area, dining table, and chairs. Truly magical, complete with a floor-to-ceiling window that looks into the wheelhouse and over the rushing river. Finally, step out onto the terrace, from the first floor in the living area which sits just above the river and private garden, perfect for a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening listening to the tranquil sound of a river flowing. The river itself, perfect for paddling and swimming in the summer, but deeper (and colder) in the winter months, can best enjoyed as you watch the local wildlife bask in the sunshine and roam the nearby fields. The jewel in the crown has to be the wood-fired hot tub, positioned facing sunset over a stunning landscape. Makes for a perfect stay all year round (a £75 fee for the hot tub includes wood) Enjoy charming country walks on your doorstep as you venture outside and towards the heart of Frome. If you fancy exploring further afield, Longleat Estate, the city of Bath, The Newt, and Hauser and Wirth are all short drives away and offer a plethora of seasonal activities.

Lovely place . The owners have great taste in furnishings . Kitchen well equipped. Bedrooms comfortable , bathrooms very nice too. The bedroom with bunkbeds are suitable for children mainly or short adults.
We had a brilliant time at The Old Mill, a beautiful location and fabulous house. A great place for our family to have time together, sadly we only had one chance to use the hot tub. But otherwise a very special time and place for us all.
Gemma was an amazing host. She was polite, caring and good at communicating. The house itself was fantastic, it was clean, tidy, very spacious and has great facilities. The location was beautiful, with scenic views right next to the river made the hot tub a lovely place to relax.
