Izamal · 整套客房 · 4室0床4.0卫 · 可住8人 · 4 Private Rooms - Finca Los Aluxes
Retreat from your busy life in this oasis of a home just a 10 minute walk from the center of Izamal. You can explore everything that this Pueblo Magico has to offer and then return home to be surrounded by nature, relax in the hammocks and cool off in the pool. You will feel the magic of this land the moment you set foot onto the property. Finca Los Aluxes is the perfect place to call home while you are exploring the hidden gems of the Yucatan. The Casitas and Casa Maya are detached lodgings of a main house with a pool, and a privately enclosed yard to spread out in. Finca Los Aluxes is the perfect place to host your entire family or group of friends. Comfortable and simple, your rooms have exactly what you need to rest after a long day of exploring the surrounding areas, wandering about Izamal, or simply soaking in the sun by the pool! This is a space that is so inviting you might just want to spend your days relaxing on the patio and enjoying the sounds of the birds. All of our rooms in the two detached lodgings offer flexible sleeping arrangements with two twin-sized beds that can be kept separate or joined to create one king-sized bed to fit the needs of your group. Each room has its own private bathroom, windows and a ceiling fan for fresh air, and A/C is equipped in every room to cool down when the day begins to get hotter. The bathrooms have a shower with hot water and there is plenty of counter-space to settle in with everything you need to feel comfortable. The outdoor kitchen is in progress but there is currently a full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster oven available during your stay. There is also lots of delicious and fresh food available in walking distance or for delivery to the house! We are happy to make sure you have all of that information to make your stay as easy as can be. What we call the Casa Maya is oval-shaped lodging was built using inspiration from the classic architecture of Mayan homes across the Yucatan in their traditional style. The Casitas are a connected series of 3 rooms side by side that offer you privacy without being too far from the rest of your party. Surrounding the buildings on the property is the most enchanting natural landscaping, abundant in trees and beautiful native plants. Stepping outside of the house is like stepping into a magical jungle with the towering ceiba trees, palms covered in vines, and bright pink bougainvilleas lining the perimeter of the home. One of the enormous ceiba trees shades most of the property, and the ceiba is a sacred symbol to the Mayan people which represents the link between the heavens, the earth, and the world that exists below. The front entrance of the property is framed by large flamboya trees that have breathtaking orange blossoms from May through September. In the back of the property you will find a raised platform covered from the hot sun with a palapa (traditional Mexican shelter with a roof made of palms) and comfortable hammocks. Rain or shine the palapa makes one of the most relaxing spaces to sit back and drink in the magic of this land. The front patio is quiet and private with comfortable hammock chairs to recline in. Izamal is an enchanting place known as the Yellow City for its bright golden colored buildings throughout the heart of the town. While the entire small city is very walkable at just four square miles, there are plenty of taxis to catch or you could even get a tour of the city on one of the horse drawn carriages that are awaiting you in the town center! The colonial architecture has been well preserved and is contrasted by the sights of surviving Mayan ruins all throughout the town. Over 80 archeological sites have been identified and five of the surviving temples are accessible to visit while in Izamal. In the heart of downtown is a franciscan convent, San Antonio de Padua. There is public access to the convent including the enormous atrium, so large it is second only to the Vatican. Also known as “the City of Three Cultures”, you will see that Izamal is a vibrant example of the blending of pre-columbian, spanish colonial, and modern day ways of life. There is so much to see in Izamal and the surrounding areas that you may just want to extend your stay!
The neighborhood is a lovely residential area, just a ten minute walk from the center of Izamal. Within that ten minute walking radius there is restaurants, cafes, fresh fruit and produce stores, and the largest Mayan pyramid within the town called Kinich Kak Moo, and everything else you might need during your stay.
自我介绍
I was born and raised in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico but I went to college in the USA where I met my husband! We have decided to move back to Mexico into the enchanting region of the Yucatan to change our lives and open a place for others to stay and enjoy the magic of this place. We love to interact with our guests and talk about the culture, history and unique experience of being in the Yucatan!
