Dominical is about a 3.5 hour drive from the international airport in San Jose.** **We recommend staying your first night in San Jose when you arrive, and drive down the next morning. If your flight lands after 12pm, it will be difficult to reach the home before dark** **A 4x4 vehicle is necessary to reach the villa**

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location.  it was perfectly clean and very well appointed. However, the two major issues, it is a very long drive from the main road up the mountain, and then down halfway the other side on an unfinished road that is very very steep and treacherous. Even in the Hyundai Tucson I had rented I had a couple near death experiences just getting to and from the house. The major issue is that despite being so far away, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. So I was unreachable, and if anything happened to us we could’ve been in a bad spot. we spoke to the manager about it who tried to fix it, unsuccessfully, then told us if we stood by the window in the kitchen, we could borrow the neighbors Wi-Fi. Then shrugged and disappeared. The other house manager was less considerate and tried to enforce house rules that were in accurate and conflicted with the listing a couple times. All in all we paid, it was not worth it, and I would not stay there again.
Amazing views. The hosts were responsible and wonderful. One of the most unique and beautiful stays I have ever had.
no words! this airbnb was absolutely magical. extremely private and quite literally sitting above the treetops with all amenities you could need. as another person mentioned the drive is quite steep but doable and I did somehow make a wrong turn one evening even though it is extremely straightforward to get to. the hosts were very responsive and met me back at our initial meeting spot to show me one more time and i was all set from there. highly recommend.
Everything was spectacular from the moment they waited for us to arrive to when we left. This is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at in Costa Rica or anywhere. The home, view and location of Lagunas are pretty much unbeatable. Highly recommend you book this one.
Casa Cloud Seven was an absolute dream! We woke up every morning to the sound of birds and the clouds hanging low in the valley. The view from this place is probably the best we've had in all our travels! The birdwatching from the balcony was even better than a birdwatching tour we went on. We had a fun time hiking down to the river and swimming in the cool water. We also really enjoyed having the outdoor tub on the deck to cool off after a hot day! The house and kitchen were stocked with everything we needed and it only took about 20 minutes to drive into Dominical. Just a heads up that the road getting down to the house is pretty steep, but doable (and worth it!) in a 4x4 going very slowly downhill. We hope to visit here again someday and highly recommend checking it out!!

Casa Cloud Seven is a newly built (November 2023) private luxury Jungle eco-villa located in the picturesque and tranquil neighborhood of Lagunas de Baru, just a 15-minute drive from Playa Dominical, one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica, and 10 minutes away from Nauyaca Waterfalls. Overall, Lagunas de Baru is close to the beach, the stores, and the organic food markets, but far enough from the busy highway (so you don't hear the noise of the big trucks slamming on their breaks), and just elevated high enough above see level not to need 24/7 air conditioning.
To our complete surprise, the neighborhood has stolen our hearts despite the dirt roads and cute insects. We invite you to see if you can resist the charms of Lagunas de Baru.

Quepos airport (XQP) - 42 min drive
Juan Santa Maria International Airport in San Jose (SJO) - 3,5 hour drive
The roads are well maintained and you won't have to cross any rivers or stream to get to the property, but you will have to drive up and down hills that can be steep and bumpy, so a 4x4 is a must! Casa Cloud Seven is gated for your protection and has plenty of free parking. The neighborhood is very safe, but if you drive to town or to the beach, DON't leave valuables in the car without your supervision.
