Enjoying a fabulous location near the southern shores of Windermere, this characterful family property makes a wonderful getaway for up to six guests and is a great base for activities including boat trips and water sports. Set on the outskirts of Newby Bridge, this inviting getaway provides fresh, light and cosy accommodation for families and friends exploring the spellbinding southern reaches of the Lake District. The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway runs past the back garden, giving you a chance to see the steam trains as they pass by. Entering the property the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a welcoming space for everyone to get together and settle back. You can snuggle up, watch a movie on the Smart TV or chat about the day’s events in the light and airy lounge, while the sociable dining area is perfect for getting together to cook and share your favourite dishes which you can prepare in the tastefully designed kitchen. The ground floor also has a charming snug with seating and a Smart TV, which overlooks the garden where you can spot an array of wildlife including occasional pheasants. The first floor offers a stylish shower room, a cosy double bedroom and a delightful bunk bedroom. Finally, there’s a sweet double room on the second floor with a low ceiling, a skylight and desk. Outside, the back garden has a bistro set providing a lovely space for breakfast. The patio at the end of the garden is a relaxing suntrap where you can watch the steam trains chugging along. Newby Bridge has opportunities for kayaking, sailing and trips by steamer across Windermere.
