Beechworth Breakaway is a lovingly renovated heritage house; modern & very comfortable! Located 100m to Rail Trail, Epic Trail carpark & old Railway Station, 200m to lake & 400m walk into town centre for fantastic cafes, restaurants, shopping & historic precinct. Our home welcomes families, groups & all types of cyclist; gravel & mountain bikers, rail trail & road cyclists, with bike wash & locked bike most of the time: 2 night min holidays & long w’ends: 3 night min Easter: 5 night min Beechworth Breakaway is a 1890's Victorian heritage cottage fully restored and renovated to modern energy efficient standards. All rooms are generously sized with authentic high ceilings & floorboards in the original cottage space. The kitchen, dining & living spaces, butlers pantry, laundry, both bathrooms and master bedroom are part of the newly completed extension. 3 steps separate the original and new parts of the dwelling. A feature granite wall of locally sourced stone and Nectre wood heater add warmth in the main living space, in addition to split system heating/cooling. The bathrooms have heated floors for comfort during winter, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. There are two deck spaces with sitting spaces to enjoy the large landscaped garden, featuring both native and cottage plantings. Large grassed areas offer space for play. An outside dining space is perfect for meals under the shade of several maples on the north side of the cottage. In the shaded space between the house and garden shed is a discreet kitchen garden with Mediterranean herbs for cooking and a private courtyard with table and chairs creating a great break out space for a cuppa with a friend. The property is ideally suited to cyclists. A 5x3m weatherboard shed offers ample locked storage for multiple bikes with minimum 6 bike hanging space. Basic tools and track pump are supplied for minor mechanical jobs, and a dedicated paved bike wash area, with hang rail, is located next to the shed, to wash away all the mud of the day's adventures! A 3 burner gas bbq is provided for use out in the garden space. Please Note: base accommodation fee is for 6 guests and Breakaway can accommodate up to 10. We are able to offer flexibility for our guests depending on group composition but only open up all rooms & prepare all beds for a full house. For 6 guests the two queen rooms and the king/king singles room is offered. For additional guests (more than 6) $45 pp/per night applies for the additional bed preparation, linen, and cleaning required. Refer to the house floor plan for guidance on the layout. We reside very close-by should your group need any assistance. An exterior video camera is installed at the entry of the property for security purposes.

Super comfortable and very clean family home. We had plenty of space for our group of adult friends and kids. The temperature of the house is really well regulated and nice and warm overnight. The heated floors in the bathrooms are an absolute treat. Nice and easy walking distance into Beechworth and spacious garden for kids to play in.
This is the ultimate Beechworth house for those that want to ride their bikes and more. amazing.

Can not recommend the home and the host highly enough. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to the centre of Beechworth. The home itself was as described and perfectly presented. The host was friendly and beyond accommodating with all suggestions and communication. 5 star experience in all aspects.
A quiet, leafy street with landscaped garden and heritage house, neighbored by other homes with heritage character, only 100m from the historic Beechworth Railway Station and Murray to Mountains Rail Trail.
There is on site parking for your vehicle and ample street parking for extra vehicles. Getting around is easiest on foot or by bike since we're so close to the centre of town. Lake Sambell is also a short walk away, several hundred metres to the north along Kerferd Road.
