Come relax and get away from it all at this secluded Ohop Lake waterfront cabin. Spend your days lounging on the dock, swimming, fishing, or kayaking on the lake. Enjoy the sunset from the deck, then roast marshmallows over the campfire. You can also use the cabin as a jumping-off point for adventures in Mount Rainier National Park, which is just a 30 minute drive away. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a fun family vacation, this lakefront cabin is the perfect place for you! Bring your boat, launch at the nearby boat ramp, and tie up at our private dock during your stay. This lake is float plane friendly as well, it is two miles long with valleys on either end. The private dock is a great place to fish year-round. The lake supports naturally reproducing populations of black crappie, yellow perch, largemouth bass, bluegill, brown bullhead catfish, pumpkinseed sunfish, and coastal cutthroat. Our cabin offers dedicated off-street parking, but parking at the cabin below is not permitted due to the steep driveway. We do have a cart available to move your things to and from the cabin. This home being right on the lake can’t be beat. However you are working the entire time from when you get there until the time you leave. Where you park to the house is quite a trek especially with all your stuff or kayaks, paddle boards, etc. I believe the house is priced to reflect some of the bareness to the home. No wifi, a dated tv with no streaming options. We did not see a lot of pride in ownership especially when it came to cleaning. The lake and view are astounding, and the pricing was fantastic. To the listing and owners credit, all things lacking are clearly stated - I’m just not sure we realized the extent of some of them (the hill from car to house). The front door will not stay closed without it being locked which was an issue for our dogs. A little deeper cleaning and updating could make this house quite a destination
We had a great time! My dog loved hanging out by the lake and big enough to play ball. Our second day was raining but at least we got one sunny day. Great place and would like to come back again on a warmer month. Thanks for sharing Leah!
My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at Leah’s. The house is centrally located should you want to go into town, but is secluded enough to still feel like an off-the-grid retreat. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house was furnished comfortably. We already are talking about an annual trip back. Thank you Leah!

Ohop Lake offers a boat ramp free of charge but requires a Discover Pass. You may park your boat at the private cabin dock for easy access during your stay. Float planes are welcome on Ohop Lake, which is two miles long and has valleys on either end.
Despite its secluded location, the cabin is still close to all the amenities of Eatonville. You can drive downtown in just 5 minutes, where you'll find a variety of restaurants and shops.
You can also plan for a hike at the nearby Little Mashel River Waterfalls, the trailhead is 8 minutes from the cabin.
Alder lake public beach access with a protected swimming area is a 20 minute drive.
Our cabin offers dedicated off-street parking, but parking at the cabin below is not permitted due to the steep driveway. This means that you will need to walk from the off-street parking area down to the cabin.
The walk is approximately 60 yards long and is mostly downhill. The path is graveled, but it is important to wear comfortable shoes and be aware of your surroundings as there may be uneven surfaces. See photos for reference.
Additional tips for guests:
- If you have a lot of luggage, you may want to bring a wagon or cart to help you transport it from the parking area to the cabin.
- Be aware of the weather conditions when walking to and from the cabin. If it is raining or snowing, the path may be slippery.
- If you are walking at night, be sure to use a flashlight or headlamp.
