This cottage is famous! Kate was filmed building this home for the hit ABC's TV show Restoration Australia in 2019. If you loved the show but would like a few more mod cons this beautiful dwelling is for you. Nestled on 1.5 acres of trees and garden you will connect with nature and the romantic surrounds. Easily located half way between Daylesford and Castlemaine there is much to see and do or simply enjoy a lay in a hammock, listen to birds or read a book. The Beautiful Bush Cottage is a one bedroom house set on 1.5 acres. It was built next to the two original 1850’s minors cottages to supply the modern conveniences. The Cottage has a private outlook and garden. There is a fenced courtyard connected to the cottage to keep your doggies safe, please keep them on the leash when in the adjacent garden. Inside there is a main open plan room with kitchen, dining and lounge. The kitchen is equipped with all you need to make meals. There is a full sized fridge, gas oven and stove. A large bedroom with a queen size bed and draw space. A large bathroom is provided with shower, toilet and claw foot bath. A lovely space to unwind. Kate has studied permaculture and always keeps this in mind with the property and cottages. If you are lucky she might leave seasonal gifts of herbs and vegies from the garden !

We loved staying at the Bush retreat! Our doggies loved their stay too. Lots of bush walks close by, and Castlemaine and Daylesford are just a short trip down the road. The cottage was amazing with excellent facilities. The bath was great!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Kate and Felicity's cottage in Clydesdale. From the moment we set foot in the front door to a personalised welcome message, we knew we were at home. Built by Kate herself, the cottage provides everything you need for the perfect getaway from the city. We enjoyed the personal touches, such as the freshly picked flowers from the garden and the rural country aesthetic. The variety of books and games on offer mean the tv is an afterthought, and the garden is a pure delight. We'll be back the first opportunity we get.
Kate was extremely hospitable. I really appreciated all the instructions and recommendations of cafes and sightseeing in the book as you enter. The house was so nice and cosy too! Definitely recommend a getaway here :)
We had a wonderful long weekend away in Clydesdale. Only a short drive from many beautiful walks and towns. Kate and Felicity were wonderful hosts, very responsive for any questions we had and had lots of great recommendations for places to eat. Would stay here again.
This was a peaceful, quiet getaway in a delightful country cottage not far from Hepburn Springs and Daylesford. Our hosts were lovely, responsive and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had lots of unexpected amenities that added to the ambiance. Lots of thoughtful touches were included, such as Lavender bath salts, goodies in the fridge and pantry cupboard, board games, books and more. The stars at night were magnificent when we turned out the lights . Such a treat! Thank you Kate and Felicity for a gorgeous weekend!

Clydesdale is a lovely hamlet situated half way between Castlemaine and Daylesford. They are both lovely places to visit.
There is no public transport at lovely Clydesdale.
You will need to drive or you can catch a train to Castlemaine and get a taxi from there. Castlemaine is about 20mins away.
