Take a trip to the popular seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough, both just a short drive away. Then return back to this cosy stone built cottage, which lovingly blends traditional period cottage features like exposed beams and stonework with modern facilities and furnishings to offer a unique and comfortable base for your break away. Relax after a long day out and about in the cosy lounge or unwind in the fresh air enjoying beautiful sea views from your own private tiered garden at the rear of the property. The master bedroom offers a cosy window seat where you can soak up the breath-taking sea views. GROUND FLOOR: Lounge: Wood burning stove, wall mounted Smart TV with Freeview,two large sofa chairs, large leather love seat and leather ottoman. Steps down to kitchen, original stone steps. Kitchen: Fridge freezer, induction hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, double Belfast sink, wooden table and benches, wall mounted TV. Steps to back door - Emergency exit only. FIRST FLOOR: Bedroom 1: King Size bed, bedside drawers, bedside cabinet, window seat-  small steps provided, full length mirror. Bedroom 2: Single bunk beds. Bathroom: Bath, shower over bath, toilet and washbasin. Pets: One well-behaved dog welcome. Parking: Private off-street parking for two cars. Patio/Garden: garden a beautiful tiered garden with stunning sea views. Heating: Biomass central heating. Wood burning stove Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times. Notes: Towels are provided. Highchair available. Smoking is not allowed at this property. There is a £150 fee additional deodorising/cleaning charge if smoking is detected. WiFi is available free of charge. Mobile phone signal is good. Property has an open staircase with no bannister. The duvets are feather filled but there is a hypoallergenic option. Shop: 1.5 mile. Pub: 2 miles. Water is supplied from our own borehole, it can appear discoloured at times. It is perfectly safe and maintained regularly. Please run water till it’s clear if that happens. We are self catering accommodation and provide complimentary toilet paper/kitchen roll/tea coffee etc. Fire is stocked ready to light. Please note we do not refill this items during your stay.  If you would like more wood and fire lighters we sell them on site £10 per bag.

Location of the cottage is very special. The views across the headland to the North Sea are stunning, north there's Robin Hood's Bay and south Ravenscar. The cottage is very high spec but with all the old worldy charm that makes it cosy and homely. Walks north and south are brilliant, if you like walking, with or without dogs, you can really fill your boots. We had a day in Robin's Hood Bay/Whitby and a few days walking - perfect. Hosts were the lovely people and blew us away with how they have brought the holiday cottages into the 21st century but managed to keep all the charm and history of the place. Lovely, lovely weekend break ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Browcote cottages are ideal for walkers, couples, peace & quiet. Set in around 2 acres, these Grade II listed properties command a spectacular position on the coast, roughly equidistance between Robin Hoods Bay & Ravenscar. The cottages are also 9 miles by car to Scarborough & 9 miles by car to Whitby.
Ravenscar is around 20 mins walk from the door. There is a National Trust centre as well as a history trail on the 18th century Alum industry.
Robin Hoods bay, the jewel of the Yorkshire coast, is around 20 mins walk along the beach if you drive down the hill (3 mins). Or around 25 mins if you choose the cliff top path. Please watch the tide.
You can simply walk or drive down to the secluded beach from the cottages. It's a steep walk back up!
This area is the terminus &/or beginning of several National and regional walk/cycle routes. its the perfect place to explore the National Parks heritage coast & moor.
