Wyndell Cruck Cottage is a historic reverse-level cottage resting on the Wind Hall Farm in Midhopestones near Stocksbridge, South Yorkshire and can sleep nine people in three bedrooms. The living areas in the property consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining seating for nine people, and a sitting room with TV, woodburning stove, books and games. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor twin with TV, a ground-floor family room with four singles, and a family room with three singles, along with a ground-floor shower room, ground-floor bathroom/utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, and an additional shower room. Outside there is a large garden with lawn and furniture, as well as ample off-road parking. Within 1.6 miles, you will find a shop, and within 1.2 miles, a pub, and please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Pets are not permitted at this property. Guests have use of the croft with a tree swing. There are two steps leading up to the family room on the ground-floor, please take care. Thank you Barbera and Frank for a fabulous weekend! This air bnb is in a beautiful location with plenty of walks accessible. The place is tastefully done and perfect for groups of friends with 9 single beds. I would highly recommend this air bnb!

Wow. Barbara and her husband were dream hosts. We felt so welcome and looked after. The house was unbelievable, well loved staying there. We had everything we could possibly need to cook with and entertain ourselves and the bedrooms were all really cosy. Having 3 bathrooms between us all was great, especially after a muddy afternoon of activities nearby. Thank you so much for a really special weekend.
Wyndell Cruck Cottage was perfect for our Bookclub weekend away. The cottage is lovely and calm and cosy and Barbara and Frank were so welcoming and friendly. The prosecco and chocolates were such a thoughtful touch. The location was perfect for walks around the reservoir and the woods as well as to a local pub. The kitchen is so well stocked and the large table was perfect for us all to eat together. We had a fantastic weekend and hope to return.
We had a lovely stay here! Very friendly hosts, amazing cottage and location. Very clean and, as mentioned, an incredibly well stocked kitchen (which came in handy when cooking). Great for big groups/families. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a lovely pre-christmas getaway.

While Holmfirth's 'Last of the Summer Wine' landscape is easily accessible, nearby dams such as the Underbank, Langsett, Broomhead and Moorhall provide interesting afternoon rambles. The proximity of the M1 means that Sheffield, Leeds, York, and the rest of Yorkshire's spectacular countryside may be easily accessed by lengthy walks, mountain biking, and visits to Hathersage, Bakewell, Edale, and the Ladybower Dam.
