We are a family of five and were pretty happy with the overall size and state of the house. The beds were very comfortable and I was happy to have blackout blinds and curtains in each room. However, there were a few inaccuracies. First, when we arrived, we found that one of the toilet seat fasteners was broken and would not stay on. I messaged about it but got no response. It made it quite hard to use. Only one roll of toilet paper provided, and no washcloths, but lots of towels. There was a small vacuum but no other cleaning products save dish soap. The kitchen is not equipped. There was one tiny pot, and no microwave. The cabinets were almost completely empty - no oil, knives, cutting boards, salt, pepper, etc. It was nice to be close to the GO station and to be able to walk to the grocery. But it is more like 45 minutes to downtown Toronto, not 15! That is a misleading description. Also, inside door to the unit did not lock, only the outside main door, which felt a bit weird.

Our family had an amazing stay in Ivy's beautiful house. The backyard is so beautiful with berries and flowers and they even offer great bbq grill which is beyond my expectations. The kitchen is beautiful with all amenities we need. The bed is comfy and the whole place is very clean and quiet. Ivy is an excellent host that always responsed quickly and provided help in a timely manner. Great location and we will definitely come back if we visit Toronto in the future.

I don't like to leave a bad review and I want to be fair for future tenants and to our host. The location is nice, the price was fair, the host did her best but there is a problem with the unit. As you can read from other reviews this is a house divided into an upper unit and lower basement, to say the least if both units are occupied it will feel you are living together in terms of noise and sounds. What ruined our stay was the very strong onion cooking smells coming from the downstairs at odd times of night and day. I guess the units need better insulation and ventilation systems that our host couldn't solve other than advise us to open the windows. What started as a beautiful stay was ruined with mostly the smells the last few days. If solved in the future this is a great place to stay.

Spacious and bright unit, a good place to stay! We were quite disappointed with the kitchen as it looked like someone had moved out and just left a few unwanted items behind rather than the filly stocked “have all you need” kitchen we expected. Also no dedicated workspace. Otherwise it’s a nice quiet place with large bedrooms and comfy beds.

Our stay at Ivy&Bowen’s Airbnb was comfortable and cozy and perfect for our vacation. The house was clean and organized, with all the essentials from fresh linens to kitchen supplies readily available. Not only was the house tidy, but it’s also located ideally being just a short drive away from Walmart and other department stores that made stocking up on groceries super easy. Ivy&Bowen are wonderful hosts - very kind and responsive, always there to answer our questions and accommodate our needs. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
