Hook Norton · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室3床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Orchard Cottage
The cottage rests in the village of Hook Norton and can sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Orchard Cottage is a wonderful cottage situated in the heart of this lovely village. The cottage is flooded with natural light and the open plan living and dining area is full of charm and character, with exposed Cotswold stone walls, exposed beams and flagstone flooring giving it a real cosy feeling. A step up leads into the well-equipped and tastefully decorated galley style kitchen boasting a breakfast bar. From here the bright and contemporary bathroom is accessed. Upstairs you will find both bedrooms with elegant furnishings. The stunning tiered garden sits at the front of the property and is a wonderful spot to soak up the summer sunshine. Bordered by mature shrubs and featuring beautiful trees and raised flower beds, the garden comprises two tiers, both of which have outdoor tables with seating for four. A parasol and charcoal barbecue are also provided, perfect for making the most of this delightful outside space. This is an old, period property with steep, winding stairs and steps between rooms, both of which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility.
Cute little cottage close to Chipping Norton and Soho Farmhouse. There’s a nice pub in walking distance and loved having the fire on the cold nights. It’s a bit smaller than how it looks in the pictures but nice sized patio for dogs. Bring fire starters and extra logs with you if you plan on using the fire a lot.
We had a wonderful weekend stay in this charming character cottage. It is tastefully furnished with lots of period features. Hook Norton is a picturesque Cotswolds village with a decent shop and country pubs serving excellent food right on the doorstep. It’s an excellent place to stay to explore the surrounding area.
A picturesque village with many honey-coloured historic buildings, thatched cottages, a thriving community and its very own steam driven brewery, the last of its kind in the country. The village boasts a well-stocked shop, Post Office, several pubs and restaurants and many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the village with the D'Arcy Dalton Way passing through the village. The market town of Chipping Norton lies south of the village in the Cotswold Hills, plays host to many festivals throughout the year, has an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a theatre and the oldest golf course in Oxfordshire. Historic Banbury nestles on the banks of the River Cherwell in the Cherwell Valley and offers many restaurants, cafes, a canalside museum, cinema and local theatre, plus the annual Banbury Folk Festival attracts many visitors each year. Blenheim Place, the ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill is also close by. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and known as ‘The City of Dreaming Spires’ has an abundance of attractions, namely the 38 colleges of the university, the oldest university teaching room, Bodleian Library, Botanic Gardens and museums, as well as playing host to many festivals and markets. Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick with its magnificent castle and Royal Leamington Spa make a lovely day out.
