Amanda’s place was luxurious and had gorgeous views of the lake and forests. It was in a neighborhood but felt secluded. Great for walking and a short drive to hiking.

We stayed for a long weekend and loved the house. It was perfect for two families to have plenty of room. We are already talking about wanting to visit again!

The first thing I noticed about The Nest was the attention to detail. The house itself is beautiful and well thought out. It’s light and airy and everything you would want for a weekend getaway. The loft area is the nicest touch!! The views are exquisite. Check-in was clear and very easy - just want we want for an Airbnb. Everything is thought of. If you’re still thinking about booking, do it! I promise you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back and have this be our regular getaway 🥰

Our family loved staying at this listing! Our original plans to go to Breitenbush fell through, so we ended up spending a lot of time at the house. There was plenty to do to keep the kids and us entertained- from the board games found throughout the house to the garage that had the ping pong table and basketball arcade. Besides the entertainment, the house was spotless, had incredible views and was just so very thoughtful in every way. We forgot our phone charges and found there were complimentary ones in one of the kitchen outlets. The owners had also placed safety features on the ladders to the top bunk and the loft area. I thought this was very thoughtful, especially if you have little ones. But the highlight of the house was the loft area- it was such a serene space with beautiful views. I can imagine doing yoga, meditating, reading or having an intimate conversation in this space. We truly loved our stay and hope to come back again!

We had a great time at this home on Detroit Lake. Amanda was very responsive and checking in was a breeze. The home is beautiful and has incredible views of the lake and surrounding hills. The kitchen is well appointed and includes everything you need to cook a great meal. The outdoor spaces were comfortable and we enjoyed the BBQ and sitting on the deck in the evening. The layout of the house is perfect for multiple families, with living spaces on both floors. The beds are very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. The location is perfect - views of the lake and within a short walking distance of town, including a park. We look forward to returning to this home for our annual trips to the lake!
