The heart of Ptarmigan Lodge is the spacious, light-filled, open plan living/dining area built in a stunning timber construction. Full-length glass frontage offers superb scenic views of the river and forest beyond. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. The extensive garden features decked areas with outdoor dining, a children’s play area and private access to the river. The hot tub allows you to relax and soak up the peace and tranquility of the forest and listen to the river.

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful lodge for a group of 5 and 2 dogs! A lovely open spaced dining area, kitchen and snuggle with a log burner. Everywhere was clean, and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need as well as the bathroom and bedrooms. The hot tub was the perfect addition that you can relax in after a day of exploring and walking in the surrounding national parks. Tinker is a great host, very welcoming and was happy to help before and during the stay. Would definitely stay here again - 10/10!!
We were two families of four and we had enough space with separate wings. The house had everything we needed and the surroundings and setting were gorgeous!
What a wonderful house. We visited with 4 adults, 3 kiddos and 2 small dogs. Fabulously practical house with large utility and boot room. Wonderful view. Clean and tidy. Great area.

Quite village with river & forest walks. Local village shop, coffee shop and Hotel with restaurant and bar. Local golf course. Village green with children's play area. A number of easy access bike trails.
To get the most out of the Cairngorm National Park area it is best to have a car. There is a bus service to and from the village, running roughly every hour. There is also a local taxi service.
