Wake up on the waterfront of the Indian ocean and a hot cup of coffee. Ocean to mouth eating fresh calamari-fish-crab, kayak to an island, watch sunsets, moon rises, bonfire evenings at waterfront restaurant. Lazy hammock days, rustic luxurious peaceful living, 6 star meals. We are eco solar powered and live a simple life! This is not a luxury room, but a place to unwind and enjoy nature. This is a room with shared bathroom. Breakfast is included and rooms are cleaned daily. Our guesthouse Kidoti Wild Garden consists of a bungalow, four garden rooms and a dorm for 4 guests. This room is located in the garden, and very close to the ocean. Separate bathrooms with showers are shared with other guests. We also have a restaurant and bar, serving delicious and organic Zanzibari food and drinks. We prepare breakfast for you in the restaurant every morning (included in your stay). When the tide is high you can enjoy a swim, or feel free to borrow our kayaks! When the tide is low, why not take a walk to our nearby island to fins seashells.
Super sejour chez Kamis perdu au milieu de la nature de Zanzibar ! Loin des resorts du nord, en bordure de mer et dans un petit coin humide et verdoyant, l'auberge de Khamis est un endroit magnifique ou le temps semble ralentir ! Bref, super hote !
So quiet ,almost feels like a different world.. felt very relaxed. Friendly host and staff. Great fish and rice. Thanks
Beautiful garden directly at the sea with great views. Khamis is a great chef and the food was excellent. He is also very flexible and supportive. Indemnities basic but pritty well maintained - good value for money.
Khamis has good vibes, and he is very helpful! His place is really quiet and peaceful and it’s a special experience to stay there. But the location is very rural ! Not an easy access and there is nothing around. The beach is not suitable for swimming, so you have to go to Kendwa or further if you want to enjoy the water. (We rented a scooter with Khamis’s help). It’s a bit of a jungle! and we had some bugs in our room.. The electricity is solar, which is very cool but also makes some issues (it’s not accessible during the whole day for example).
Kidoti is a small and quiet village, away from the busy tourism of some parts of the island. Come enjoy the real Zanzibar!
Depending on whether you prefer to move around by car, bus, or motorbike Kidoti is approximately:
- 25 minutes from Kendwa
- 30 minutes from Nungwi
- 1 hour 15 minutes from Stone town
- 1 hour 30 minutes from the airport
We have a driver and can organize transfer to most places, just ask!
