Emma is a fantastic host and the Nordic Nook is a slice of Heaven to stay in as a result. We felt welcome, swaddled in comfort (fitting with the Danish hygge that is the theme). We played games by the woodburning stove, made delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen, slept well in the oh-so-comfortable beds, and walked at sunset to the nearby Kineowatha park & Wilson Lake. Emma is responsive, friendly, and genuinely cares. We will be back!!
Two families are able to stay here very comfortably. The home was warm when we arrived, which is great because it was about 10° out. The house was easy to get into an extremely cutely decorated and comfortable. There are lots of places to hang out and sit. Lots of games, good quality cookwareand sharp knives are great plus. The beverage station is fantastic and we really enjoyed that too. Amenities in the bathrooms and towels were great. Beds are super comfortable and clean and warm. The whole place had a lot of thought put into it and we were really happy with our stay.
We loved this place! Great spot with such beautiful touches. There is a brewery nearby which is great and a children’s museum which provided a morning of play. We would recommend this place and will hopefully visit again.
My family and I stayed at the Nordic Nook for a long weekend, hoping to catch some snow for our kids to sled and ski in. What luck, it snowed one of the nights and we had a lovely time. The house was clean and cozy, the linens were lovely and the kitchen had all things needed for a longer stay. Being close to Farmington, we had the opportunity to visit the downtown area and catch a movie. In town I would recommend Salt and Pepper Too, they had a very tasty lunch menu and the food was delicious. The communication was quick and the ease to get to the location and settle in was pleasant. Happy to return another time if we are in the neighborhood.
The Nordic Nook is located in a somewhat densely populated, friendly neighborhood, close to the lake, park, and main street area.
Getting around the neighborhood can be done easily by either driving, walking, or bike riding. Parking is easy as we have a paved driveway that can fit up to three vehicles on it.
