Cons: There was a weird indoor recording device that creeped us out. The lack of window coverings made us feel exposed, and was challenging to put kids/babies down with light coming in through the windows during naps, bedtime and early wake ups in the morning. The select few windows that had coverings were paper or sheer. There was broken glass littered in the backyard and woods. Not kid or pet friendly. The neighbors are hoarders and their piles of trash/vehicles is unsightly. Trash was overflowing and there wasn’t a spot to discard ours in the bin provided. Pros: The house felt very clean. Great to be close to trails and the beach if you’re comfortable with a short walk through the backyard woods. Nice to have plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, shampoo/conditioner/body and hand soap, dish detergent and laundry detergent left for us to use.

Great place so close to the beach! Couldn't ask for a better location. Mackey was super communicative thoufhout our time there. Would book again

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but just can’t bring myself to do it. The location is great and the beach nearby is excellent! I highly recommend going to Pere Marquette Park and the Deck Bar and Grill. It was such a fun experience! These are the things preventing me from giving the place a higher rating: First, two of the bedrooms (and most of the main rooms) didn’t have curtains up. This was a big bummer for light coming in the rooms and especially for the lack of privacy it created. The house is also not fully equipped as the listing described. A few beach items specifically listed in the description in amenities were missing. It also lacks some basic essentials such as hot pads in the kitchen. One of the beds didn’t have a top sheet on it, just the mattress cover sheet and a comforter. The cleaning fee is also really high and not in line with the cleanliness of the home. So much potential in this property, but needs some attention to detail.
