Such a wonderful space and host. Danica was around and easily available during my stay and was able to provide knowledge of the local area for views and hikes.

This is my second year with Danica, and I was happy to return. Accommodations were comfortable with an attentive host in a beautiful home atop the bluffs that overlook the hamlet of Hotchkiss, CO. Funny enough, not a lot has changed since last year, and that is JUST FINE with this guest. I bestow my highest recommendations for a stay at this property!

I really enjoyed my stay. I worked remote for three weeks here and the internet and setting was solid. There's a train that comes through once a day, I had to pause a meeting once for it but it makes for an entertaining excuse. Otherwise, perfectly quiet and plenty of little corners in the yard to find your perfect serene "office". There's not a ton to do in Hotchkiss, Paonia (~10 min) has some interesting stuff but a lot of it is open at certain times on certain days. Delta is ~20 minutes away and has the usual stores, fast food and a little strip that I didn't explore. I highly suggest making it out to Marble, Crested Butte and especially Black Canyon. I'm a dirtbike guy and the road to Crystal Mill/Schofield pass is close (and very fun), along with my personal favorite, Cement Creek to American Flag Mountain. The cats do....cat things, there's two friendly ones, two that will ignore you and one you won't see very often. The dog was only a puppy during my stay, but she's a fluffy wonder. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area, either long or short

so wonderful! the bed is super comfortable, the room is large - there was ample space for me and my big dog and all our stuff. I loved the big dresser and full closet, letting me unpack for my long stay. great wifi, no problems at all for working remotely. loved the outdoor shower (there's an indoor one, too) with plenty of hot water. great neighborhood for walking my dog. Danica is awesome. she is so interesting and creative! an artist, builder, designer, gardener, landscaper, seamstress, maker of amazing moisturizer/salve(!), helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and just the right combo of socializing and space giving. my dog *adored* her. her kitties are precious and I loved her mom, too! such a wonderful stay at a great value!
