Amazing host with a beautiful location and interior! Very responsive to texts even though it was a holiday! Loved watching the chickens and eating the fresh eggs. Be aware there is no internet in the valley so make sure you have directions already pulled up on your phone or you will be like us, driving around trying to find a signal! Would love to go back in the summer during peak season!

Loved staying in Hotchkiss! Close to the wineries and a good halfway point to a lot of areas. Michelle’s place was very clean & comfortable. The chickens and views made the place very unique. We would definitely come back again

We enjoyed watching the turkeys and chickens. They were far enough away that you couldn’t hear them. Great home base location for the areas we planned to visit. Internet was non existent until we got to her place so she didn’t receive my email that we were arriving earlier than expected. Great wineries nearby. Comfortable place and well stocked kitchen.

We spent a week here and had a great time. Came into town for Mountain Harvest Festival and stayed for the week before meeting family on the Front Range the following weekend. I work remotely and was able to work the whole week with the provided wi-fi , using VPN, Zoom, and multiple Citrix apps. The location is just a few miles out of town, so it is super convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. We split our time between eating out and cooking our own meals in the full kitchen and grilling on the deck - loved the farm fresh eggs too! The guest home has pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, the bed is very comfortable, and the towels in the bathroom are so fluffy! It was also nice to lay out on the deck chairs to read and watch the frogs in the pond and the chickens and turkeys free ranging on the property. Super quiet at night and very peaceful. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in the area and highly recommend the property.
