Eighteen Baliol is a welcoming place to stay when travelling on business or on holiday in Barnard Castle (‘Barney’) this is the perfect stay for up to four people. You’ll have access to the full property during your stay which includes a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a family bathroom. A home from home in the heart of Teesdale, Eighteen Baliol will provide memories to treasure. Eighteen Baliol has a stylish living room with a smart flat screen TV and log burner making it the ideal place to unwind with your loved ones making this a cosy place to relax. The house has a small kitchen to the rear of the property which is newly installed. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware. Outside there is a small garden which has been decked and has outdoor furniture and gas barbeque so you can enjoy your meals alfresco style too. Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and plenty room for a travel cot if required, the second room is a twin. The family bathroom located downstairs has a spacious bath with overhead shower, WC and basin.

Sally was really helpful with a last change of guests. My in laws stayed to visit grandparents who live locally. House was lovely and the garden was perfect with the weather. Right next to the cricket pitch if you go in cricket season something to watch of an afternoon!
we had a brilliant stay, beautifull house which had everything we needed. the location was perfect, 2 minute walk to pubs, restaurant and shops. Sally was great to communicate with, replied pretty much straight away to any questions. we asked for a slightly earlier check in which Sally was absolutely fine with. would definitely stay again. Beautiful property in a very central location. The house was perfect for our 3 day visit to Barnard Castle. Everything sparkling clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The property is walking distance to supermarkets and we enjoyed the 2 local parks. Sally was extremely helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. Thank you again!

The market town of Barnard Castle is situated in the unspoilt countryside of Teesdale in County Durham. It stands on the site of an ancient Roman fort which crosses the river. The medieval ruins of the castle still tower over the river and are well worth a visit. Known affectionately as 'Barney’ by residents and visitors alike, the town boasts cobble streets, yards and back lanes, which were first laid out in the 12th century. The nearby Bowes Museum is well worth a visit and a wonderful way to spend a day wandering around this beautiful building and experiencing the fascinating exhibitions. Beautiful walking country is right on the doorstep of this lovely market town, with woodland walks and cycle routes and the Lake District, the Pennine and Teesdale Ways, and the River Tees and magnificent waterfalls at High Force are all within easy reach, and after all them adventures why not sample some one of the many restaurants located within walking distance of Eighteen Baliol or if you just want to relax at home then why not grab a takeaway ranging from Italian, Chinese or award winning Indian cuisine.
