大吉岭 · 整套民居 · 2室0床2.5卫 · 可住5人 · Aama Niwaas: Home
A unique and cozy home, Aama Niwas will give you the best views of the surrounding hills and Darjeeling city. Should you wish to have a meal (local food) in the property, the caretaker will prepare for you on additional charges upon a request. Aama Niwas is a spacious property that has been designed for comfort and peace, and it highlights the views of the surrounding hills (snowcapped in winter) . Given that Darjeeling is a hill station, you can expect to walk 5-10 minutes either up or downhill to get to the property. The house is divided into three floors, the first is an open living area with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. On the second floor there is one master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. It has a spacious balcony where you can lounge when it is sunny or have your morning cup of tea/coffee while taking in the view of Darjeeling city! The third floor comprises of a large and cozy wooden attic, perfect for nights where you want to play games or relax after a busy day of exploring. There is also a second bedroom that has an ensuite bathroom and a balcony with outdoor seating.
it's an excellent place to stay in Darjeeling. 2 minutes walking from Zoo, good local meals restaurant,a peaceful tea garden. out of the noice. looking at the beautiful valley. the house is a duplex plus a wooden attic.every floor has a balcony. fully loaded kitchen ( which was great as we could make our own tea coffee, soup. Pratap ji, the host gave us references for Taxi, and local help. all of them were super good. there were board games and we as a family had a great time inside the house. excellent care takers. their food was also great. few precautions: senior citizens who has issue climbing should be careful. the house is inbetween 2 roads.. so a bit of climbing required. and it's in the midst of local housing. we enjoyed the atmosphere. I would recommend the property anytime. and can accommodate atleast 6 people. great experience
Pratap is a good host. Caretakers were good, very helpful. The property is very good. But the location is a big headache. If you have your aged parents, very very hard to get into and get out from the location. Many steep steps you have to take to access this property. We have to check out one day before our scheduled departure and had to find another hotel nearby Darjeeling Mall Road. Otherwise, the house is really fun to stay. My suggestion is if you have your parents or any aged persons in your team, please find a stay which is on the main road.
We stayed there from 2nd March to 6th March 2024 and I can say it was wonderful stay in affordable price. we enjoyed every moment there. The modular kitchen was fully functioning and all necessary utensils, gas stove, microwave oven, water purifier ect are available there. rooms were very comfortable and bathrooms were very clean. views from balcony were awesome. Everything was just like mentioned in the pictures. Caretaker Yogita didi and her family was very polite and helpfull ther is a quite steep climb to the house which may be little difficult for aged people otherwise it's not a big deal to reach there.
This is a perfect place for you to feel DARJEELING ! It is a 3 floor house , with every floor offering you a magnificent view of Darjeeling. Darjeeling being a small town , the home gives the feeling of being away from the core town Hustle bustle, yet close enough to explore everything that the you tube is listing for you. You might want to reconsider booking this place if you are planning the holiday with your parents or grandparents, and If they are up for steep climbs and descends. But I have to tell that the climbs or descends are a part of all the PAHADI HOMES! and this one AMA NIWAS enthralled me with the meticulous specification that makes it a amazing home with breathtaking views. The only complain I have is that There are many routes ( walkable ) that are easier than what the house helps tell you. So as long as you have a soul of an explorer , this home and neighbourhood never fails to add adventure to your life. :)
The place is very well maintained with all amenities required. The aesthetics of the place gives you a very local vibe. The caretaker was very responsive and helpful. However, the location is not very convenient to reach. There is no proper road to reach the property and if you have luggage it would be more difficult.
Aama Niwaas is located in a semi urban village, where you’ll be able to live within the local community and observe their everyday life.
Located just a 10-minute walk from the world renowned Happy Valley Tea Garden, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and Darjeeling Zoo, famous for endangered animals such as the Red Panda and Snow Leopard. HMI museum also exhibits the mountaineering equipment used by Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary- first men to climb the Mount Everest in 1953.
Venture a bit further, and you will reach the Darjeeling Ropeway from where you’ll enjoy an aerial view of Tukvar tea garden and the mountain Kanchenjunga.
From Aama Niwaas, you can go to the main town either by taxi or walking. We recommend taking a 20 minutes walk following the road that goes from the Zoo all the way to Chow Rasta (Mall road). On the way you can get a peak of the snow-capped Himalayan range - a must-see when you’re in Darjeeling!
