Briar Hill Lodge fit the bill for us for a quiet, peaceful spot to enjoy a long weekend for a birthday and total eclipse viewing. We were able to bring both of our pups and they could run around on the large property. The lodge is a beautiful log cabin, furnished very nicely, with extra blankets and towels. Lots of wood for the stove. Wifi was good; no tv or radio, just birdsong & breezes. It was fairly easy to find but cell service gets spotty so download maps ahead. It's a couple of dirt roads off the main road; watch the animals on either end that may run out in the road. With limited food options nearby, we brought food to cook. The property was muddy but it's early spring so not unexpected for us. It just meant wiping the dogs down and doing some cleaning before we left to make sure we didn't leave muddy paw prints around. 20 min to Letchworth SP and food spots. Overall 4.8 and would stay again for the solitude and peacefulness. We really enjoyed it! Thanks!

We came to Briar Hill Lodge looking for peace and quiet after the busy holiday season; somewhere where we could have an indoor wood for and watch the snow fall. This place was everything we wanted and more! The cabin was beautiful, clean as could be, and we loved the bear themed decor! The Amish neighbor makes sure the firewood pile was well stocked and even came to plow our driveway (with his horse drawn plow) after a few inches of snow fell. Plenty of space to return again with our growing family (our 1st baby is coming in April), and we've already recommended it to friends and family. Thanks to Linda for hosting such a wonderful getaway!

Absolutely loved the place was beyond peaceful the perfect escape don’t have a single complaint ! Can’t wait to come back beware if you do leave to go somewhere pop the address into your phone before you leave the house it’s a dead zone when you pull out of the driveway ! Awesome space for pups my dog had a blast alot of space thanks again !
