We are only a bridge away from Louisville, KY in which you can enjoy what both cities has to offer, especially during the Derby season. This newly-built home, completed in October 2023, has a design and space that are well thought of, with you, our guests in mind. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, cozy, and convenient space with everything you might need so that you can feel like you are “home away from home.” Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with our beautiful front porch. Once inside the home, you will notice the modern design of the living room, with a fireplace and a sofa bed. On its side is the dining table for you to enjoy cooked meals you can prepare in the fully equipped kitchen. Down the hall you will find the powder room, the laundry room with both washer & dryer, & pantry. The main floor bedroom has a king bed and with an en-suite, stand-up shower bathroom. The end of the hallway will lead you to a spacious and private backyard: with seating area, BBQ grill, string lights, & fire pit to enjoy the sunset while sipping on your choice of drink! Making your way upstairs, you will find 3 additional bedrooms and a tub-shower combo bathroom. The second bedroom has a king bed while the third bedroom holds 2 queen beds. The fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds and a small work station. This home is perfect for large families, group of friends, or even just a few couples to stay in and enjoy your adventures from both cities. Fun fact: this home was named after a horse trainer, Charles Elwood Durnell, who won the 1904 Derby, who was from New Albany, IN.
