The « Old School House » is a fantastic cottage ideally situated in beautiful Northumberland. During our stay we really felt confortable and cosy in the house where everything is functional and clean. We particularly appreciated the bedding which was especially comfortable. The village is a pretty Northumberland village, surrounded by the immense beauty of Northumberland. It’s a great place to explore, the pub (the Gun) is a one minute walk from the cottage and is a very friendly place with delicious food, we loved it ! Terri made everything simple and friendly for us so we really thank her for our wonderful stay. We will definitely return !!! Thank you Terri for your delightful attention to every detail !!!

My wife and I had a lovely time at Terri’s cottage. Great location, comfy bed and cosy log burner. Our dogs enjoyed curling up in front of the fire. The local pub patrons were friendly and welcoming.

A friend and I spent a few days at the Old School House over New Year. It's a lovely little cottage, well equipped, very comfortable (amazing beds) with breathtaking views and surroundings. Lots of excellent local walks, some in easy walking distance. Terri is a fantastic host. She had lit a welcoming fire ready for our arrival - unfortunately neither I nor my friend had a clue how to make a fire stay lit!! So Terri kindly came out on a hideous rainy evening to give us a very patient fire tutorial, then texted us the instructions and even checked in on us the next day to see if we were managing! To be honest we're still bad at fires but all the same we were lovely and warm in the cottage, between our faltering fires and the electric radiators. The local pub a few doors down is very friendly with gorgeous food. We were there for New Year's Eve and got to experience the local community's new years group celebration standing in the middle of the A68!! We'd definitely come again.

Lovely, comfortable & well-equipped cottage. Very comfy bed! Secure outside space for our dog. The local pub is excellent & everyone very friendly. We had good days out - visited Holy Island & Alnmouth (about an hour's drive). The cottage is well placed for exploring Hadrian's wall & we spent 3 days visiting different parts of it. Would definitely recommend a stay in the Old Schoolhouse!

It was a plesure to stay. The decriptions of location needs to be better comuicated, such as after the sign for the speed limit, as you are traverling from the suoth pull of the road and park. Then it is the gate at the end of the houses.
